Great bear bells for dog collars I am a Rover Sitter in Oregon and take the dogs into the forest every day. These bells are a great help, because I can hear the dogs even if I cannot see them. These are perfect Bear Bells. Easy snaps, loud full sound. I use them on my Ursack food bag to alert me to rodents while sleeping. During the day I put one on the hip belt of my backpack for bears and moose. The sound has a full, low-ish pitch and is not annoying!

Everyone carries bear spray these days when hiking in bear country. I do too but always hope that I don’t have to use it as my first line of defense. I’ve used a bell for all my years of backpacking. Bear bells hopefully alert a bear first and then gives him the option of skeedaddling before coming face to face. I say “hopefully” because the few bears I’ve encountered in the past were just as afraid of my presence. The bells attach with a sturdy leather loop and snap and make a pleasant tinkling sound. It also came with a complimentary whistle. The bell would not stop an aggressive bear by any means so carry the bear spray too (which by the way doesn’t always work as a defense either). The bell is just a smalllittle something extra to make my hiking a little more less worrisome.

I wear these on my cowboy boats while hiking. Good sound and easy to attach. Not too big and very good price for the quality.

I attached the bell to my dogs harness. Its been on his harness for a few weeks now. Ik some people said the snap breaks. I walk my dog 2 times a day and have never had a problem with it. But I just keep it all the time. I keep the whistle in my pocket. I think its pretty loud. I bought them because I had a bear in my neighborhood. Idk if this works, but I havent seen a bear

After the cougar attack nearby I was nervous to hike so I purchased these. They are high quality at a good price point and make me much more comfortable hiking! Highly recommend.
