Solid hold super versatile easy to adjust
Grab's tight and holds solid!Great for adding mic's off of drum hardware or setting up overheads from a steel pipe by adding a short boom arm.Or mounting a large mic in an iso booth using steel pipe overhead.1/5th the cost of a super clamp with just a bit smaller diameter range.

Very good quality and useful
The media could not be loaded. Very versatile and handy mount. Well built and I will probably buy a couple more of them.

Strong and versatile
This is like a two-for-one package with a strong, reliable clamp and a strong, reliable ball head that can be used together or separately. The clamp holds nice and strong and has 1/4 and 3/8 mounting points on multiple surfaces. If you don’t quite trust its hold, you can thread a couple of zip ties through some of the screw holes and it’s not going anywhere. The ball head is all metal and holds surprisingly strong against more weight than I expected. Can’t go wrong with either part.

The ball joint can't hold much weight
I wanted to use this to hold a boom arm that would hold my microphone over my head for my PC setup. The clamp attached and held perfectly, all the materials seem strong... but the clamping force holding the ball joint steady just isn't enough to keep it from sagging. I had to take the ball joint off(it simply unscrews, conveniently) and attach the boom directly to the clamp.I know I was asking a lot of it to hold up an AT2020 and shock mount on the end of a ~35 inch boom, lots of leverage there, so I won't knock off more than a star for it.

Making it easier to use
Liked it just fine. Glad I bought it. In the picture note the gooseneck stand. Stand comes from Amazon with only a male threaded end for 5/8 27 thread. The clamp comes only with a male 5/8 27 thread. Can’t use them together without some sort of adapter like double ended female coupler with a 5/8 27 thread as shown in the picture. Other wise it works like I wanted it to. Very adjustable. We needed some kind of stand for the magnifying glass for my wife who has macular degeneration. Works great. Pretty sure it would work very well for a mike also.
