Affordable Alternative with Authentic Appearance.
Honestly it looks great as a low-cost LED alternative to a real vacuum-tube clock. The digits are authentic, the tubes are clear, and the whole unit is perfectly sized for desktop use; each digit is about 2 inches tall. Setup is a bit finicky. You first pair your phone to the clock's onboard Wi-Fi, then you can access the clock's settings by navigating to the IP address (provided in the manual) in your browser. From there, you can change colors, alarms, and display modes. All the while, your phone (or tablet) isnt connected to the internet... In the settings page, you can then pair the clock to your home Wi-Fi by providing the SSID and password. Once connected, the clock can then automatically synch the time, timezone, and DST settings via the internet. More importantly, you can then disconnect ypur device from the clock's Wi-Fi and reconnect to your home Wi-Fi. From now on you can access the settings page (still via IP address) without needing to connect directly to the clock. The color selection is a little odd. I had trouble setting a pure bright red using the color wheel, but with enough trial and error, I got it close enough to what I wanted. I also think the "seconds" digit(s) are brighter than the rest of the digits, but there's no individual brightness control, so I can't seem to fix it. I think this only occurred after updating the firmware to the lastest version, but i'm not sure. Small flaws aside, it looks great, works great, and is an affordable alternative to a real Nixie clock (similarly sized real clocks are $1,000+). Highly recommend.

Oh, so sweet Wow!
This thing is just plain cool. Easy to setup, no router security to worry about. Go to wifi settings on your phone and look for clock tech network to show up-the clock broadcasts a signal. Click on the clocks network and enter the 1xxx web address in the instructions and you get full access to the clock. It's just a wonderful thing. Stunning to look at and to be able to change the colors and everything else you'll love it. YES it looses about 2secs a day but who cares, 4 clicks on my phone and it is exact again. It's sweet and worth every penny!

Beautiful clock, but...
So I will start by saying this is a beautiful faux nixie clock. The display is well built and mesmerizing to look at. However, I had to return it purely based on it's Wi-Fi feature. The Wi-Fi presents itself as a static access point without password protection intended for you to connect and configure things like the time and custom colors of each tube through the use of a mini web service running on the clock. That's all fine, however, I never intended to use this feature and was happy just using the buttons on the clock directly to set modes. I accessed the Wi-Fi to secure it from the default open state and that's where I discovered that you can't and found my only gripe about this thing (and unfortunately a deal breaker for me). You can enable password on the access point with a check box which sets a default "weak" password that you cannot change. So it's either fully open or protected with a password you can just Google. There is no option to hide the Wi-Fi ssid broadcast (not that it creates any significant security). But more importantly there is no option to completely disable the Wi-Fi feature entirely. The manufacturer intends for you to connect the device to your home network in order to update and likely sync with ntp time services, which is fine, but I'm extremely reserved on which devices I allow on my network. So having a device accessible to anyone within 30 feet of my location is a huge concern even if it is just a clock. I would have totally kept this product if not for this security oversight. In my opinion no one should have a device in their home that isn't 100% in their control. Call me paranoid. If a device/product offers Wi-Fi functionality of any capacity (client or server) "proper" security options should be foremost in design. All in all, it's a pretty product and a nice spin on the old nixies with nicely etched acrylic number plates that even mimic the depth of the real ones (and use a ton less power). Brightness has a nice adjustable range and colors are vivid (likely neopixel or some variant). It runs on an espressif microcontroller and overall has a solid feel. Buttons have a little play, so they rattle if you shake it, but overall a nice device. Kudos on the physical design, but the firmware could use a little more work to address the issues above. I was considering keeping it and writing my own to disable the Wi-Fi but I have too many projects already. Thank you and sorry for the return.

Very close replica of original nixie tubes, and just supercool overall.
This was my favorite Christmas gift I got this year. Even my millenial kids like it. I had always wanted a nixie tube clock, but the expense and hassles of the real nixie tubes just were not worth it. This clock captures 90% of the appearance of real nixies, in a modern digital clock, with none of the problems of real nixies. The tube digits really are 3D, with 10 individual digit plates stacked inside the tubes. The difference is that the numbers are engraved plastic plates rather than metal stampings, but that actually makes the numbers easier to read. The default digit color is nixie orange, but you can configure it with any tube any color in the rainbow. It also has a preprogrammed light show if that's your thing. Brightness is adjustable too. The base holding the electronics is small and is powered by a usb cord and phone charger, so it produces near zero heat. Programming instructions are cryptic as others have said, but no worse than a digital watch. The only thing they don't tell you is how to turn the alarm off(!), although they do tell you how to disable it. I got my clock up and going using just the buttons so I haven't bothered with the app.

Really cool clock!
This is a really neat clock. It looks a lot like a real Nixie Tube Clock. If you like the look of a Nixie Tube clock, but don't have $260+ to get one, this is a great substitute. Basically, each tube has 10 clear acrylic layers, with numbers engraved on them. There is an LED under each number that lights up that number. The effect is really nice looking. I am glad I got this, and would get it again.

Superfin klocka. Love it!. .

I don't usually write reviews but I had to for this. It is absolutely stunning!! If you're a designer or someone who appreciates good design, you will love this. It was packed so well, connecting it with my mobile also allowed me to control the colors and display mode. Pictures don't do it justice, it is much much better in real life.
