Works Great, very pretty!
This is a beautiful pitcher and the water filtering system works great! The filters last for a long time and the water tastes pure and delicious. This has saved me a great deal of money by no longer having to purchase cases of bottled water each week for my family. It's a very affordable way to filter your sink water to replace bottled drinking water. The water filter pitcher is a very good bargain as it comes with one filter cartridge. Replacement filter cartridges can be purchased inexpensively as well. I'm very happy with this purchase!

Good Pitcher
Large capacity pitcher. I can fill up my 40oz cup twice in a day! It does make tap water taste a lot better. However, the lid on the pitch is VERY flimsy, if you are not careful it will break. You do have to prepare the filter by submerging it in water for 10 minutes before using it.

Love it!
I bought this pitcher on a whim. My clunky old 10 cup Brita was still filtering water just fine, but I didn't use it that much because it was heavy and felt awkward in my hand. I liked the look of this one, and really liked that I could put it in the dishwasher, and for the price I decided to give it a try. I love the shape of this pitcher and the fact that it looks like glass rather than plastic. The curved handle fits my hand better than the straight handle on the Brita, so it's much easier to pour. I like that the dial on top lets me know when I've refilled it enough times that I should change the filter. It's not scientific, it doesn't check the quality of the water, it just lets me know I've refilled it a lot since the last filter change. The lid fits very securely, I've never had it come off while pouring in the 8 months I've had the pitcher. The down side of that is the secure fit means it can be difficult to get it to snap on after taking it off for cleaning. I've found that if the inside of the pitcher and the receptacle inside are both dry the fit is better and the lid is easier to get on.

THE best
The design is what makes this outstanding. With the weight at the bottom it is easier to pour. I assume the 'standard industry' style is because one manufacturer made a name for themself with the style, but that old style is much top heavier. I was replacing a Kirkland brand, which they don't seem to have anymore, because the lid would no longer securely stay on, and I can use up my Kirkland filters. I had ordered the Amazon brand one in the 'old style' and it was so thin and flimsy. This is not, and is worth the additional money.

Holds a LOT more than other pitchers and pours FASTER.
Best-case scenerio. You can fill the area of the pitcher above the filter when area below is already full and it won't leak into your drink pour, naturally filtering on down as water is removed. So it holds like 75% more water than my previous Brita filter, and pours FASTER, something I didn't realize I needed, but definitely did. And the cost of this one is on the lower end of the market? Get this one.
