This is my review of the MALIIGAZA FCOB LED Strip Light,32.8FT 24V RGBCCT Colorful High-Density Light PWM RGB+2700K+6500K LED Tape 840LEDs/m High Bright for Home Bedroom Decor (No Controller & Power Supply).This strip of LED lights is a highly controllable, beautiful set of lights. It has 874 LEDS COBBS per meter of length, and each individual LED is addressable via PWM from its controller, whichever one you choose. It has five conductor attachments so that every LED may be controlled individually. It can be set to have running lights or anything you can dream up, depending on the programmability or app used with their controller. I must apologize for taking so long to write this review. I had expected to show the lights installed, but my apartment management company would not approve their installation as they stick directly to the wall.Depending on their final installation, I will use one of the two controllers I got for them. I tested them thoroughly uninstalled; they are mesmerizing in appearance. The 24-volt DC power allows the entire 30-meter strip to maintain equal brightness. They are dimmable, reproduce millions of colors in just about any pattern, and have different warmths of white light. You would need an enclosed channel with a lens to make them weatherproof. I may yet obtain the necessary lens and channel.They are easily made to go around corners with snap-on connectors. They are relatively bendable but not enough to write letters with, etc. The silicone covering of the LED COBBS gives them the appearance of neon rope lights.I look forward to installing them in lensed channeling or a location different from where I live. They are outstanding LED strip lights. They are dimmable and can also emit very bright light.Offered at a reasonable price, this excellent product is a good deal, and I give it my highest recommendation.

While installing this does require some degree of electrical knowledge, the instructions should guide you to the proper type of power supply and dimmer. These cannot be controlled from a normal wall dimmer, but require a dimmer after the DC power supply (1-10V dimmer). With high quality silicone tube, IP68 waterproof, the COB LED strip has higher brightness than older SMP lights, with Uniform lighting, without dark areas and spots. The COB strip is very flexible and bendable and can cut to different lengths. If you want a longer strip (say double), you will need to add a power supply to the other end and control independently.

The reel of light has leads at both ends. So easy to cut into 2 pieces and both be pre-wired. I have not tried adding leads to a cut end. Prior experience with other waterproof LED strips has taught me to avoid it if possible. Don't see any reason this will be different.Speaking of a little different, the cross section of these LED is a little different than other waterproof LEDs I have used for the past decade. Not bad, just different. These are squared off on the clear part instead of radiused as I usually see.And for seeing. When I first powered these I they were very bright. At first I though I wired them to the wrong power supply. Turned them off and checked the power supply, 12V. I have the correct power supply, I didn't screw up and use my 24V. These lights are some of the most powerful LED strip lights I have used. Which isn't bad, you can always put a dimmer in and throttle the light back if it is too much. Side benifit is they will also last longer.If I have to find something that might be an issue for some people. The cut lines. They are old school spacing. I'm spoiled on the new stuff that can be cut in short incriments. These, 2" spacing. It's been years since I have seen anything over 1". I can work around it for that I am planning. But that might surprise some people. But for the light you get out of it, I'll take the light over cut line spacing. These are still a win.

So I ordered one for a sample it came in and looked like exactly what I needed so I ordered 9 moreThey took forever to arrive it was like they held it for a week before shipping it outBut when I get to the job I realize they changed the strip recently and I now have 5 spools at 10w per meeter and 5 spools at 13w per spool so now I couldn’t finish the jobs because I need 75 more watts of powerFor the 5 strips that need more powerBut the 13w strips are not even as bright as the 10w stripsBut the biggest kicker was now they have wires coming out of both ends WTF and they say they are IP68 but that’s false they have an airgap between the LEDs and the siliconAnd that air gap will collect condensation in certain situations and now both ends have steal wires coming out that’s a pass through for moisture

Unfortunately, we did not anticipate the cost of hiring an electrician to hard-wire these strips into an outdoor power source. We will do it eventually, but the cost surprised us making this product questionable on quality to value ratio. If you’re a handy DIY electrician, you’ve probably found your perfect year around outdoor lighting product but for the rest of us….it is a few hundred dollars per strip to install (at the very least).
