Bought this when I first wanted to learn how to crochet and have now been crocheting for a few months.I still find use for the hooks from this kit along with the scissors and stitch markers. The locking stitch markers can break easily but only when I’m trying to remove them. Unfortunately the stitch counters never worked on any hooks but can be used manually spinning. The yarn was also great to learn on and I continue to use them for projects that aren’t wearables.The box is also great for storage. Lost the bag awhile ago, but it was a nice small canvas tote for bringing along my projects while I had it.Overall a worthwhile investment to get started on a new craft! I would consider this as a suggestion for anyone who is looking to get started with an arsenal of options for projects.

I ordered this so I could teach my wife to crochet. It came with a set of regular crochet hooks and a set with an easy grip so I can use the regular ones while she gets used to holding the hooks. It came with a lot of accessories someone would regularly use when crocheting. The skeins aren't that long but that's okay for beginner projects. When she gets more into it I will order her more yarn. The scissors are great material scissors.

I got this as a absolute beginner, and it is MORE than I asked for. So much high-quality yarn in beautiful colors, helpful stich counters and yarn needles, and let's not forget the AMAZING crochet hooks. With metal hooks as well as plastic grip ones, I can switch to whatever size and type I need. I have to say, the yarn can break/unravel a little bit more commonly, but overall is good quality. Shipping was SUPER fast, and and a lot more than I thought it would. 10/10, would give to a beginner just starting out.

It frizzed and split really easily, which made it frustrating to work with — especially if you’re just starting out and trying to learn the stitches. It made the learning curve steeper than it needed to be, since the yarn didn’t hold up well to being reworked or pulled out.Overall, it’s a functional kit with decent tools, but the yarn holds it back. It’s fine if you’re just testing the waters, but plan to replace the yarn if you really want to practice without getting frustrated.

I received this kit for Christmas. I'm loving all of the items that came with it.... except for the yarn. The yarn is absolutely terrible. I wish they would replace the yarn with different sizes of Tunisian crochet hooks in addition to the other types of hooks in the kit.
