Arctic cold laptop cooler!!
I have a Dell M6800, which means it's a very powerful portable workstation. I love my laptop. It does everything I need it to do. Problem is, it gets hot, very hot when I take the hardware to the limit. I'm talking frying eggs on the exhaust port hot. I'm not joking, I'm not exaggerating. It gets so hot you can burn your hands on it. Of course, that can't be good for the hardware in the long run and I do love my laptop (did I mention that). So of course I bought on of those laptop cooler pads (almost no difference), then I bought an even better laptop cooler pad (3 fans, how could you go wrong??) with very very little effect. The other day I almost burned my hand on the exhaust port and I thought I should really check amazon to see if there's anything else out there... and then KLIM came up. I was intrigued. I went with the metal version and I thought "what can go wrong? If it doesn't work, I can send it back". Oh boy... was I surprised. Installation takes about 12.5 seconds and you're up and running... and it's cool. figuratively and practically. What about hard facts? I got those too. My CPU usually runs at around 90-91 degrees Celsius under full strain. With the KLIM it runs at a rock solid 68 degrees Celsius. The KLIM metal casing does exactly what it's supposed to do. It works like a giant heatsink. The heat is nice and hot in the KLIM and NOT in my laptop. I use my laptop exactly like before, no weird pad underneath, no weird slant, you wouldn't even know it's there. I can wholeheartedly recommend the KLIM Cool Laptop cooler. (*smiles with a thumbs up*)

A little clunky, but does the trick (approx one week of use at time of review).
Pro: cools laptop quickly (I imagine that results will differ, but on my laptop the temp never goes above 45 when using this and never crashes or shuts down from overheating); if I did need to return this item, I feel like it would be very hassle-free as the customer service from KLIM seems great so far; noise isn't too bad, even on highest level (even if it bothers you initially I think you would get used to it, as I did, or else you can easily cover with music etc.); lights don't come on automatically (in reviews I have read of similar products, people complain about having to turn off lights every time you use device); very straightforward to install and use; will keep my busted old laptop running a while longer. Con: heavier than original KLIM Cool (was warned about this in description anyway), so a bit clunky to use, particularly if also using a cooling pad (I use the foam that came in the box to prop it up). Would give 5 stars if only the device had, for example, feet that could be folded out for this purpose.

Good idea but think I had a defective one
I ordered one based on the reviews and unfortunately it seems I may have received a defective one. It rattled very loudly even though on a secure base. I contacted the manufacturer who suggested opening it up to see if the fan was loose, the fan was sealed so I didn't want to do this. Did ask whether it was worth asking for a replacement but didn't get an answer sadly. The fan didn't make noise if you turned it upside down strangely. Based on my experience I decided to return it and try another cooler which has arrived today and is much quieter and keeping my laptop cool.

I am truly satisfied with its performance and practicality
I have just received my own KLIM vacuum cooler, and I want to share my experience with you! First of all, I am truly satisfied with its performance and practicality! I have a lenovo y510p with a core i7-4700MQ 2.4 Ghz processor, 16 GB of ram and two GeForce GT 755M in SLI with 2 gigs of VRAM. Usually my laptop gets really hot, in fact in like 30 min of gaming, it gets overheated, and I cannot use it further without a break. Same situation when I am running computer simulations. I have tried several cooling pads, but neither of them worked properly, it cooled max. 5-6 degrees from CPU and GPU. Your product can cool like 10-14 Celsius from GPU and CPU as well (see attached pictures). I have had a quick test with Battlefield 1, both multi and single player. I could play single player on ULTRA settings for like an hour without overheating (before KLIM ultra settings cannot be played satisfyingly), and I had to stop just because I can cool just the main graph. card and cpu not the secondary as you can see the pictures as well, my main cards temperature is just fine (around 75 Celsius) and the secondary gets very hot. I can say, that my gaming experience is much better, I get plus 15-20 FPS when I play multi, so I am convinced. I also like the design, it really fits well to my laptop... Thank you for this, I think it is a really cool idea, well crafted and cheap! Pictures: [...]

Noisy, heavy and doesn't do what mention
To be honest I was checking the temperature of my computer with and without this fan and I didn't see any change or improvement. The other thing that I don't like is the leds. I need to press 5 times in the button of this device to turn off the leds. It is not good because each time that I turn on the computer I need to do the same action. My recommendation is to include a switch button to turn on and off and keep the other button only to change the color of the leds. More problems: Weight - I created a support for this fan in order to stay with same height of my laptop. It is very very difficult to keep the fan near the laptop. The rubber expansion doesn't work. Metal cover - I notice that my cool was coming with dents in the metal. USB - In order to use everytime this fan you need to turn on with the usb cable. If you have a laptop with 3 or 2 usb ports you are removing one usb port from your computer that will stay every moment connected to the fan. My recommendation is to include a usb port in the device or include a usb with a male and female ports. The noise - OMG! the noice is incredible. Imagine sound of the fans of your laptop in the maximum and multiply by 3. It is better to turn on the music in order to avoid the sound. For the price that you are paying I don't recommend.

Cools down my Acer i7 laptop brilliantly
I've been using this product for about 3 weeks now and I am very happy with it so far. I bought it to use with my 5-year-old Acer 5750G laptop which has an i7 processor. Acers always run hot and the built-in fan always had to work hard. In the past few months the Acer fan got quieter and a lot less effective. The laptop was getting very hot underneath - as in too-hot-to-touch 'can anyone smell burning plastic' hot. It never quite reached the point of the machine shutting itself down but it was a big problem. I considered stripping down the laptop to get at the fan but then decided I really couldn't be bothered. Also I've heard anecdotal evidence that having struggled into the bowels of the machine, the fan isn't that dusty anyway. The KLIM cooler is very effective. I just attach it to the fan outlet with the silicone sleeve provided, I don't bother sticking it on, I move the laptop around too much. It's not particularly noisy, certainly no louder than the Acer fan used to be. I can't say it's the most attractive product in terms of design but I didn't buy it for its good looks. The KLIM keeps the machine lovely and cool - I run it at about 2200. Core temperatures have gone from 90+ (even when the machine was pretty much doing nothing) to 60-ish. It's miraculous and has meant I don't have to invest in another laptop. I 100% recommend this product. The delivery and comms are excellent as well.

This is my Third KLIM Cool (Exact one) in 16 a month period.... and now it's going wrong AGAIN
For me, I have an old Laptop, I've given it a lease of life with more Memory and a Samsung SSD drive. While it is an old HP Laptop, it still performs well, I have replaced the internal fan with a genuine brand new one, I have an under base laptop cooler also, and this KLIM does extract the remaining heat from this Laptop, from the side vent. It has helped improve the speed of this laptop, since I got this because my HP6910p (2011 model) which, as mentioned is old, still does a good job for what I need it for. My disappointment is, the internal fan from the KLIM, started to buzz on and off, this is after using compressed air from a distance as these things also give out liquid if sprayed too close, so, while it helped for a short while, the KLIM fan buzzing then became constant each time I turned on the Laptop and was very very annoying, so it went back for a replacement, so this is my second one, so far so good. My first KLIM lasted well up until Month 9, so I'll see how we go again, for Part 2 of this journey. 22nd March 2022 - Part 2 of this journey hasn't lasted too well to be honest, being that this is my second KLIM Laptop Cooler fan, the buzzing which I'm guessing are apparent with these Laptop coolers is happening on this one too. However, I can't find another one that actually works as good as these and fits snug to the side vent to my Laptop. So, this second one is going back and I'm in for a third one. I shall update I'm sure in due course - with gritted teeth!!! 18th Feb 2023 - It's not made it too 12 months yet, I use this KLIM Cool Metal Laptop Cooler Fan is starting to hum and buzz again. Not as bad as the last one but it's buzzing away, it is so annoying. There is not anything better out there, so I have no choice but to keep using this. You can't design and make these things where they don't even last the test of less than 12 months. I'll be speaking with Amazon again, as they give you the usual of, "I will assure you this new one won't make noise" if I had a penny for every time I heard that....... The item is good, no doubt, just to have it on, constantly hearing the buzzing, it is total continuous and does not stop, the spend for compressed air is a waste of money as the buzzing starts up not too long after that is used. This time I'll upload a video, I hope it's allows me to upload it....... I'm sure this sound would annoy anyone. I'll keep further updating......

Great product. Excellent cooling
KLIM - Innovative Cooling Design - Gaming Laptop Cooler - High Performance Fan - USB connection - Cooling pad - Air vacuum Firstly, I am a customer. I paid for this item and this review is independent. My laptop always has over heating issues and I was looking for a product to help. Temperatures often reached 80c plus, with the laptop shutting down if they reached 98c. So when I saw this in the recent lightning deals, I thought I would give it a try. First impressions were great. Immediately after purchase I received a very nice email from the seller, informing me of the shipment of the item and telling me about who they are. A few more sellers could learn from that approach. When the cooler arrive I had the cooler fitted within 2 minutes. You have to choose a silicon sleeve from the ones provided that best fits the outlet vent for your laptops cooling. Important note here as one other reviewer at least has pointed out, if your laptop has no outlet vents, then there is no where to add this and therefore it would be useless to you. Also, you have to plug this item into a usb socket (to power the fans in the cooler) so you will need a spare usb socket or nearby usb power supply (you can either use a spare socket on laptop or you can always buy a usb expansion device if you don't have a spare socket) So, all set up, power the cooler on by holding the power button down for a few seconds (2nd button clockwise looking at cooler from the end that sits closest to laptop). You can choose to display fan speed or air flow temp). I am writing this as my laptop is running the steam client, a usenet download client running at 40mbps and chrome). With those 3 running my laptop temp was 86c. With the cooler plugged in, it is now running at 40c. Wow ! very effective. Running sniper elite 3, the temp raised to 44c then dropped back down to 41c. I couldn't previously run usenet and sniper elite at the same time as the temp would reach 98c and shut my laptop down (I run a gaming laptop with an i7, a GT555M and 8GB ram) Build quality is fine. The cooler is built in China (isn;t most tech these days) and is made of plastic. Metal parts would certainly get too hot, and the plastic build is relatively strong and should survive general knocks. The display for temp/fan speed is clear and easily read, but not too obtrusive. The cooler obviously protrudes from the laptop. It sticks out about 5-6 inches,so you will need space for it. I noted another review where the customer received a defective item. It was good to see the seller has responded and offered to resolve their issue. Not all sellers bother, so well done Klim. No product is ever going to have zero issues. There will always be faulty items, that's the nature of modern tech, but how the seller responds (or even bothers) is important. I conclude that I highly recommend both the product and the seller. This is great value for money and I will happily buy another product from the seller
