Great but very basic
This is an excellent book if you havent started archery or if you have only just taken it up. But it doesnt go much deeper than that. I would have liked it to be a bit thicker and cover a few more aspects of archery but for the money it was ok.

Essential reading for after a beginners course
This is a fabulously well written and illustrated book that provides a wealth of information. As a coach I bought this to see if it was suitable for students on my beginners courses and have now convinced the club to buy them to give to people when they pass the courseIf you’ve been shooting weeks or decades then this book has something for you to learn

The Archery for Beginners Guidebook
A well illustrated, comprehensive guide to archery with terms and equipment explained clearly. Coverage includes longbow, compound and recurve. The different FITA rounds are explained but not the imperial. The layout is clear with photographs and colour illustrations and the chapter headings stand for themselves. The way the guide is presented, however, is more suited to a junior archer with illustrations mostly featuring young people and the text would appear to be for that readership. This is a shame as it limits the appeal of the guide. The cover illustration would have been better as a photograph especially as the colour drawings are somewhat amateur.Generally, though, if you can ignore the 'junior' feel to the guide, it is a good introduction to the sport.
