Lego Dimensions: Fun Pack DC Aquaman

My 6 year old got lego dimensions game for Christmas and now wants all the additional sets (which cost a fortune!!) i have spent hundreds of £ since Christmas on these but to see my sons face is worth it. This one is needed quite alot in the game for his water abilities (I'm told haha) so it a great add on. Not many characters have the water ability and the others are in more expensive sets so this is great value for money. Also my son loves aquaman...and the film is out soon so the set could be worth more when is it due to the lego aquaman.

I'm not sure why other reviews are saying that Aquaman is an essential buy to complete the game, as all you need to do is turn the hints option to "Always On" and then Hire-a-Hero for his moves. So, if you don't like the character, I would go for the Cyberman instead as you get the Drone, Mind Control, X-Ray Vision, Hacking abilities as well as the Underwater and Silver Blow Up that Aquaman does. And then, go for something like Unikitty to cover the Growth, Water Spray and Hazard abilities, as she has a far better unique skill set - Rainbow Bricks - which if you are going for a "must buy" over Hire-a-Hero is the one I'd choose.I bought him as I'm after the whole set to complete my collection, and personally, I think that he's a fairly good character to do some of the underwater levels too, even though he's not one of my favourite characters. I've just been finishing off the Atlantis section and he's pretty much been the only one needed for a lot of it.

Another one I bought for my son's collection and like the rest it made him happy I just thought it was expensive for what you get

I would not get this figure unless you or your child is a fan of Aquaman ant then I would still be dubious. I bought this for the latter reason I don't know how but my son went through a phase where Aquaman was his favourite character (luckily he has moved back to Green Lantern who is not in this game yet).Even my son was disappointed with the character in the game and just used it as the Lego figure and the post as spare parts. This character brings very few abilities to the table (just like the comics). You don't need him to open DC level as you already have Batman from the starter pack. Characters like Cyborg and Superman already have the dive ability, the only thing he seems to add is to able to throw water I guess to put out Lego fires I am hoping to clean away toxics as well or he would be complete useless. Even annoyingly his sub only gives you 2 more water modes. As Superman came out in the same wave of figures I would recommend getting him instead. You get most of Aquaman's abilities (and almost all the other in the game) and a better Lego set as well.

Wouldn't really have bought this pack if there was a choice, but Aquaman is necessary to complete the game as the only character to use the small pools scattered in open world's. Money-making scam by makers.

Aquaman is such an annoying character, his unique ability makes him essential for completists though.He has a serious attitude problem to the Back To The Future DeLorean too, a ride not fit for a king!!?

My son's current favourite character, but I don't know what he does that Cyborg doesn't do already.

Cleans up nuclear fall outs in 'The Simpsons' level along with the ability to swim underwater too. I purchased as I wanted to complete the level.
