Great
I work with electric/electronic circuits regularly and was keen to explain the basic principles to my children. This has been an excellent way of explaining and demonstrating the basic principles of circuitry to them. All round good fun and educational toy.

We love it
I have a seven year old girl and a five year old boy and we have just had this for our daughters birthday, having seen it at a workshop we went to over the summer. Its really interesting even for the five year old and we have enjoyed following the patterns to make things work in the instructions but also trying out our own. Its a bit fiddly making all the bits fix together so you cant really leave them to do it but we bought it so we could do it together so thats not really a problem.

great set!
We bought this for our daughter who is 7 and she loves it! Its a simple set which is robust and easy to use..she has spent ages tinkering with it and making it do various things..she is thrilled when she discovers something new that it can do and spends a lot of time figuring out why it works some ways and not others. My husband has spent some time doing things with her and introducing some of the right language but she has learned the most while fiddling with it on her won. She is home educated and this is just the sort of set to buy if you want your kids to learn a bit independently and explore things for themselves..

He will enjoy this with help from me
This is a lovely set. Bought for xmas for my 4 1/2 year old son who is obsessed with switches and how things work. Have had the equipment out of the box it looks very simple to use. He will enjoy this with help from me. Well worth the money.

Perfect starter kit!
Fun and educational at the same time. My son used it to demonstrate a working circuit at school, they ended up making several and it fuelled the children's curiosity. It is a small kit so definitely a starter pack, but that doesn't detract from its main purpose which is to introduce young minds to electronic circuits.

Electrics without the shocks
I bought this for my rising 6 year old in an attempt to stop him playing with the household electrics. At 5 3/4 he is a bit younger than the age range suggested but he and his toddler brother have had hours of fun without me having to worry about life threatening electric shocks. We started by trying to help them follow the plans in the instruction booklet but soon found out what they really wanted to do was clip it together in a random way and see if it worked. 4 weeks of experimentation later their circuits now regularly do work and they have worked out for themselves why. The pieces are a bit fiddly to clip together but as my older boy has motor skill issues anything that motivates him to develp those skills without me nagging is an added bonus.

Hours of fun
Bought for my nephew as he asked for it and I'm into electronics too. Spent an afternoon building circuits with him and had a great time doing it. Sometimes he found the press-studs a bit tricky to push together but even without my help he'd have probably managed to connect the parts. Only issue I found was how tricky it was to connect the multi-strand wires when building the burglar alarm. You pretty much have to bodge them in place but we managed it anyway.

You can learn a lot about basic electronics with this product. Hours of fascinating fun. Ithink one could easily give this to a curious young or older person.
