If you are looking for a safe and non-toxic solution I would keep looking right now. Anything with stronger warnings than your typical household cleaner with bleach is probably not something you want to be spraying on everything on your home. I am really not a "non-toxic fanatic" but the warning label which takes up the majority of the container made me feel a little worried. I used a little of this stuff right out of the can without paying much mind to the directions and though the smell was relatively pleasant it kind of stung my eyes. I read the instruction and was a bit horrified at the warnings. Do not get it on your skin as it can be toxic if it enters your blood stream via skin, and of course the can leaked on first use and got on my hands and then the mist got on my feet. All I wanted to read was if it was safe on leather and found myself washing my hand and feet in water (it suggested 30 minutes). I recall the part where it says not to actually get it on the cat as it was toxic to them too, I did not get to the part where it mentioned not inhaling this stuff before I threw the can away in fear, but I can tell you honestly the smell made me little queasy and my husband who did not know that I had sprayed anything complained his eyes were stinging about a half hour after application. In regards to working... it kept the cat out of the entire room for about 25 minutes and then had absolutely no impact whatsoever.

Let's get to know me a little...there are 6 cats in the house, 3 are kittens and the other 3 adults. I am working on getting homes for the kittens so do not call me the cat lady yet. Moving on, my cat is the crazy wild one that likes to jump everywhere. The counter, fridge, table, bathroom sink etc. Her kittens only try to follow suit, lucky me they can only reach the dining room table, plants, and couches. She and her kittens also love to tear up the plant, the drapes and mini tree in the house. After using other sprays I became annoyed. At ease does not stop the fighting or the random trashing of the place, the calming collar does not help, the calm chews do not help and really is it for keeping them off the furniture? I bought those items so the cats could get along so why not get something to keep them off of the items I do not want them on. Well, the keep off works. So why the 3 stars and not 5? Because even though it states clearly on the bottle that this items needs to be applied daily until it deters the cats of the behavior, for my cats it did not. At first, they would go in the area, sniff around and leave. I hated the smell as much as they did but hell, I am going to work so I don't have to worry about it. However, the cats were relentless. Eventually even with the spray they would still go to the area and it was like they became immune. Given, when it was initially sprayed they never stayed in the area long but the spray did not last a full 24 hours or even a full 12 hours because that is the shift I work. I used the entire bottle and it is tiring to have to spray different locations, every single day multiple times a day to deter cats from going to a location that they still continue to frequent. So, I decided not to get another bottle. Also for those who think foil will keep them off, send me your address and I will send you the bits of foil the kittens scratch and chewed for fun.

I've used it for more than a month because we have stray cats in the community. I have no problem with the cats except they enjoy using my doormat as their toilet. This works wonderfully. Keeps them away. I don't have to worry about males or females marking their territory that was an issue is no longer an issue.

My cat didn’t seem to mind the scent at all, even immediately after i applied it. Guess I need to try something else to discourage him from my Christmas tree. 😼 Best I can say is product arrived quickly and on time.

You have to spray a decent amount for it to repell the animal. Also the "bad smell" other reviews talk about is the same smell from mace or OC spray. So either run your ceiling fan on high or take the rug outside to spray it. The spray works for about two days if well sprayed. Dusting it lightly will only work for a couple of hours. (Think about your bathroom after someone disrespects your toilet.. That smell last for about 40-45 minutes. Same diff here.) Oh and fun fact, (since I live in the desert with all the evil wild creatures out here)... It works to keep pack rats and chipmunks out of your engine compartment so they don't nom your wires. But again, be generous and douse those wires with the spray! Enjoy! And don't breath with your mouth open when spraying this unless you like pain.

Sprayed the couch all over, including cushions and under blankets, before leaving house before 0700. Dog seen on Ring camera shortly after we left, where he utterly DESTROYED the couch! You can see the bits of the couch stuffing around him in the screen shot of him on the couch. Utter waste of money!

This actually works, got all the cats away and i only sprayed around the yard once! Also it doesnt smell pungent so we dont feel it. Thank you!!

Read well, use with precautions ,follow the instructions and you will get the outcome. Used it outdoor and satisfied my purpose

persisting in using this to keep next door neighbors dog making his mark. ! he just moves to another spot!
