Calypso Once a Day Sun Protection Lotion with SPF 30, 200ml

My all time favourite suncream! This brand is AMAZING! I burn really easily and I’ve never ever burnt while wearing this. I’ve worn it for 3 months in America and when I was in Bali and didn’t burn once. Both times I was in and out of the water, doing activities and more. I would usually reapply at lunchtime, but never once did I burn so it’s a total win in my opinion (I was the only one that didn’t burn in Bali and I’m super pale). Would recommend this whole brand. It’s also really nice to apply and not sticky at all, don’t feel like you need to wash your hands after applying and not sticky on the skin once applied. My all time favourite and I’ve tried all sorts!My only concern is that it’s oily and probably not great for marine life, however it’s difficult to find a good suncream that’s also non-toxic.

EDIT AND UODATE AFTER USING:So I said I’d update and give a review after I’d used it in the sun and I’m happy to say it stands up to its claims. I’ve had this on legs and arms, been out for bike rides and in the garden working all day in the sun and I’ve not burned once. So this is a definite 5 stars for me, cheap as chips and so elegant to put on, no grease or sticky residue and doesn’t make the hairs on my legs or arms sticky. I will be using this from now on. I adore Ultrasun but that’s at least double the price of this and this is just as good so this will now be my got to body sunscreen. I absolutely love it.Ok so this just arrived today. It’s absolutely throwing it down today here in the UK so can’t attest to the sun protection yet ( hence why only 4 stars and I’ll update when I’ve been out in the sun all day) but in terms of allegiance, applying and how it feels on the skin I can at least review as I’ve already tried it on my arms which are hairy ( I’m a guy 😂) and my face which I’m very fussy with in terms of sun protection as most feel tacky and greasy. No I’m a long time user in Ultrasun, used and loved them for years but the price is a little high, however for sun protection can we really put a price on it?I use their face 30 all the time and their sports gel for rest of my body. I have NEVER burned and only ever applied it once a day unless I’ve been swimming in the sea or a pool.It has never let me down, doesn’t feel greasy or tacky but sometimes the price can be a bit much when I’m having a bad week.I saw this yesterday as a once a day and though for 6 quid I’ll give it a go, didn’t know it was a clear liquid and thought if I don’t like it I’ll just use it up on my legs and not purchase it again.Omg, this has gone on like a dream, I’m a bit gobsmacked for the low price tbh. I really wasn’t expecting too much but WOW, I actually said Jesus Christ as I first applied it to my hairy arm. It glides right on and then just disappeared, no tacky, oily feeling, o sticky hairs and after like 5 minutes I can’t even tell there’s anything on my arms.I thought I’d give it a quick try on the face just to see and the same again, did feel a little more tacky at first than the arm but then boom, it’s gone, I could absolutely use this also as my face spf. So now all I need to do is test it out in the sun of course which is the main reason for using it. However I had to review already as I’m really impressed with how it’s applied, I’ve used loads of sun lotions, creams, oils in my 50 years and this is definitely one of the best in terms of how it sinks in to my skin.Now if this holds up in the sun then I think I’ll be changing over from my Ultrasun and buying this from now on. I really hope it gives the protection as I’m really impressed with the rest of it. Absolutely love it so far.❤️

It works ok find it a bit sticky

I was introduced to this by a ginger guy in our group in Vietnam (always listen to ginger people about sun cream!) Much better than the cream that I normally use (piz buin). This goes on and feels dry and non greasy (perfect for hairy arms). We were cycling everyday for 40 miles and this just stays on and protects you even though you don't feel it there. Exactly the same as the reiman p20 expensive stuff. Bought on offer so I have some for my fishing and camping kit. As I've got older I've noticed the sun damage to my skin much more so I now use sun cream regularly and this is so simple and comfy to wear. Get some bought and forget the rest!

Very happy with the protection given. Goes on smoothly, quite strong smelling at first but no damage to clothing.

This sun lotion is absolutely brilliant. The best I’ve tried. It ticks all the boxes for me as a blonde, pale, pasty freckled skin lady who burns to a crisp within 15 mins of seeing the sunshine. The boxes it ticks is that it’s a great consistency and very very easily glides on the skin and mega easy to apply. It’s more like a gel consistency not a thick horrible white cream like most on the market. The next good point is its not sticky. I can’t stand sticky sun creams….it’s enough to put me off applying and using them. I can’t stand the sticky feeling. It also dries very quickly and because it’s “Once a Day” it does stay out for a very very long time. Obviously you’d need to put another layer on if you go swimming (or I would), but during this recent lovely 3 week heatwave I put this lotion in in the morning when I get dressed and that’s me for the day lazing around the garden. I’ve never got burnt with this one at Factor 30. Other brands I’ve got burnt using factor 50. It smells nice too. I’ve picked it up in Home Bargains before now….but purchasing on Amazon has been more convenient for this purchase as I’ve been convalescing at home. Really great sun protection. I’d highly recommend this one and a very good reasonable price too. You’ll be safe in the sun using this great lotion folks.

Best sun screen I’ve ever used. Only need to apply once a day. Never burn and great value. Better than P20

Works well as a sunscreen but stains clothes yellow. Couldn't get the stain out so it ruined brand new clothing.
