OBDLink MX 426101 ScanTool Bluetooth: Professional OBD-II Scan Tool for Android & Windows

Bought for use with Bimmercode App and my F20 as Vgate icar pro device no longer supported. This worked same as vgate scan tool.This one is 3 times the price of vgate scan tool... there is associated app which provides car data and diagnostics. I have not yet looked at the app in enough detail to work out if thus justified higher price. First glance looked promising. As I did not buy for this functionality this is a bonus for me.There is also the tradeoff between cheap Chinese tat and the potential negative effects on your expensive electronic devices... buyer beware... you pay for what you get...Note for Bimmercode users... open the app. Before you connect tap the ... in top left corner and click Settings. Then change your adapter. This stopped me connecting until I finally worked it out. Trap for younger players.

Helps knowing what's going with your car. The only problems I had were when tried to update it. Updating from the factory( first version) of the software gave a lot of errors for not being able to update. The trick was to keep trying but after an error- reset the app and remove the obd from the car for 30 sec (power cycle). Using for more than an year now and didn't had any other problems. I guess there was a software bug in the first version.Update: An year and half later still working. Works perfect with Forscan. Just be careful - you can easily brick the ecu if you don't know what you are doing.

This is fast and reliable! Its price is a pain to me but please, consider: if you are confident enough to clear error codes it should mean you have enough knowledge to be sure that you successfully resolved a cause and as consequence you should know that cheap scanner is sometimes far too slow to provide reliable live data (specifically while comparing few streams) and resulting in inconsistencies and therefore contributing to wrong interpretation. If you aspire to be DIY mechanic beyond just a fun then this scanner should be your choice unless you can spend more (I can't). But I regret spending £25 before. This purchase should have been made long before.

Update:Have adjusted rating as the seller sorted out the problem and the OBD reader works fine.Old review:The software OBDwiz is free with this reader so the claim you are getting a liscence for Windows worth $39.95 is incorrect. You can get upgrades to the software worth 39.95 but these are not provided. I bought this because I was led to believe by the advert I would get the professional add-on worth $39.95. I did not get this. Very disappointed and very misleading

Used this with my 06 1.6 Opel Astra Sport with Tiptronic transmission. I was getting repeated error code 0115, coolant temp problems, when there was nothing physically wrong but this error caused F to appear meaning I couldn't start my car. This product means I can clear that code and often as it shows so that I can get rid of the F and start my car. I can't thank you enough, without this and the Torque Pro app my car would literally be undrivable full stop. This was so easy to set up and connect to my phone I can't recommend it enough you've saved me untold money and trouble so thank you so very very much.

I bought this one to use with bimmer code to program the BMW. Connected straight way, quick to use and very stable connection (used with android).A friend of mine tried to use with iPhone and wasn't successful.The app that comes with the adapter is the standard app, no real issues there but haven't tried anything advanced there (error clearing and reading)Overall, a clear improvement from the real cheap ones but the greatest Pro is the compatibility with all the apps

I used this with an android tablet (nexus 7 2013 second edition) and my Toyota MR2 2003. I previously had used a cheap OBD tool and although it worked by sending the relevant data, when it was plugged in, it resulted in ABS light and airbag light to come on. This is a known issue when the generic cheap OBD tools are used in this particular Toyota MR2. The OBDLink MX does not result in any such warning lights and works without a problem.Was posted quickly and arrived within 48 hours, although for this there was an additional fee of around 9 £

Bought this to reset the service indicator on my BMW R1200 GSA motorbike. I already had the adapter cable and bought the Motoscan app on Google play (professional version). I also bought a cheap android tablet. Reset easily and also another BMW bike. Price of this OBDlink MX is a tad pricey but worth it for me when I don’t have to pay Motorad prices. I believe the LX version will also do the job but I was taking no chances. Great wee bit of tech!

Le produit fait bien lit bien les codes. Est ce qu'il lit tous les codes ? Évidemment ça je ne sais pas. En attendant il est bien compatible avec un chevrolet Captiva, une Chevrolet Kalos, une fiât 500 et une clio 4 donc c'est niquel.Je partage également mon expérience, cette chose avait besoin d'une mise à jour... Hélas cette dernière a planté en cours de route...Dans ces cas là ne supprimez pas l'app. Dans l'app allez dans réglage et ensuite Firmware Upgrade. Et a partir de la vous recommencez la mise à jour.Bonne journée 👍

Worked great with the Torque app on my Android phone; used for my 1999 Volvo S70 T5, 1999 Volvo V70R (x2), and my 1999 Volvo S70 AWD (all ME7 cars).Unlike other ELM327 devices, the MX could read many VOLVO sensors that were important to me (boost, MAF and O2 for example).Easily capable of reading and erasing codes (Please note, that these codes are general, and NOT in Volvo format).I have not tested SRS or ABS yet (but I am expecting that it will not work).I was amazed at the blue tooth connection speed, where, even the sensors were very responsive.It was pricey compared to other knock offs, but I am very happy we my purchase.And believe it or not, unlike some OBD readers, this one fit perfect into the OBD port.Build quality is top notch. I am expecting to use it for years. It was smaller than expected, kinda surprised me.Would I pay $100 for it again ... yes I would (because you know you're getting quality with this device, unlike many others).I look forward to testing their own OBDLink software.Very happy with my purchase.Edit: Now Sept 21, 2018, and I have used it very often, and I keep smiling. Well worth the money!

Envío muy rápido. Es el modelo MX a pesar que en la descripción está equivocado y pone modelo LX. Es el que sale en las fotos. Lo usaré para Chevrolet Volt.Lo recomiendo.
