Choke Hazard of detached corners, not suitable for toddlers.
These Rubik Cubes (2x2x2) and (2x2) for Toddlers are dangerous because there corners can detach easily and they can choke on them (see video)

Good speed cube, cheap but entirely useable.
I got into Rubik's cubes recently and wanted to pick this up to see if it was any better. Overall, quite good, the plastic is light and perhaps a bit thin but holds up to normal use quite well. It rotates very easily (sometimes too easily/quickly) and has a bit of elastic to the bonds holding the cubes together. The little caps on the center panels are easy to remove but do stay attached while rotating and spinning it. The screws to adjust tension are small but useful. I haven't messed with them too much beyond a bit of tightening as the cube was very loose on first use. Some of the plastic edges were very rough if I grabbed it the wrong way but a simple file with just my finger nail got it to be smooth. As others have said, the instructions it comes with are in Chinese (?) and almost useless unless you already know how to solve the cube. There are plenty of good resources online to learn. This is exactly the same type of puzzle as a name bran Rubik's cube, just faster and lighter. Good product for the price, you just need to put in the time investment to learn how to solve it.

If you haven’t picked up a “puzzle cube” since the 1980s, you might be surprised how far they have come. The main thing relates to the trend for “speed cubing” where puzzles are solved in mere seconds. To facilitate this, cubes have become much smoother in their working mechanisms, this one turns with barely any noticeable friction. It’s a far cry from the clunkier cubes of my youth and the responsiveness makes it very satisfying to play with, twisting and turning at the slightest movement of your fingers. The other big change is that modern cubes tend to be “stickerless” ie the colours are printed directly onto the component parts, which means they hold up better and don’t get worn off in use. Two very simple innovations which have brought a classic puzzle right up to date. This is a pretty basic version, just the cube in a box with some basic instructions in Chinese with diagrams. It’s priced at £6.90 at time of review, so great value, and an ideal gift both for kids discovering it for the first time or a nostalgic present for Gen X-ers like me who want to relive their youth.

My son requested one of these as he's going through a cube obsession and has 3x3 ones. This is easier to achieve and he is very happy!

My 4 years old granddaughter wants to copy her 9 nine years old brother, who is a whiz at Rubiks Cubes. This smaller version is ideal for her. It's small enough for her small hands, and it's easy to move around. This is suitable for younger children who want to get used to these kinds of puzzles.

This speed cube is very vibrant and the colours pop. The cube is not very big measuring about 2 ¼ inches (or 5.5 cm). The size makes it good for small to average hands. However, because it is so easy to twist it may be okay for bigger hands as well. Out of the 4 speed cubes I have tested, which are all in the same price range, this is the easiest to twist and almost frictionless making it very speedy. It is lightweight and fun to use. I like that it is stickerless though the paint job up close is not the smoothest, but acceptable and the build quality is good. There is also an instruction booklet but is small and not in English, but I would rather watch a video anyway. Overall, this cube is really nice being colourfully vibrant and speedy, and I would recommend it. At the time of review, this was $11.99 with a $1 coupon, and is a good buy.
