Jamie Oliver 16 piece Starter Set

I bought this to replenish my original Jamie Oliver crockery which I've had for many years, made by Royal Worcester. Over the years with breakages etc I needed some new ones but struggled to find any. This set whilst it isn't manufactured by Royal Worcester it is matching design and of equal quality, stamped underneath with Jamie Olivers name. It is not supplied in an official box but it was packaged sufficiently and arrived safely without any breakages. Very pleased.

I bought 2 of these items as I love the Jamie Oliver range and white is timeless, goes with any decor.The first set arrived poorly wrapped but undamaged, although I suspect it had been on display somewhere as it had red marker pen smudged on 2 of the mugs, this did wipe off easily though.The second set was less lucky, it too was poorly wrapped and had a thick layer of dust on the item's box. This time all 4 large plates and 3 of the small plates were smashed, this second set is being returned and a replacement is being sent but the replacement is due only a couple of days before Christmas so fingers crossed it arrives in time! Amazon purchases don't usually let me down.I love the size and shape of these items. The individual items are of a nice, solid weight without being over heavy and the plates are a useful size and curve up at the edges to help keep items on them when carrying through to the table. The bowls are large and deep enough for soup, cereal or dessert. The mugs have changed a little since I bought some a few years ago but no-one would know unless you look carefully.All in all a lovely set at a good price and I would purchase again and recommend although I would hope that the seller packages it better next time.Since writing the above a replacement for the broken set has been received it arrived 24 November, brilliant, luckily it was undamaged but is not exactly the same as the first ones sent but are fine. How it arrived undamaged I do not know as it too was poorly packaged, even though it came from an alternative supplier. They really do need to look into this. I would like to buy another set but to be honest am thinking whether I really need it as I don't want the hassle of posting it back at a cost of just over £18 if it gets broken. All external packaging was in perfect condition, double boxed but on opening a mug was broken. A waste of my time returning and left without what I’d bought

I knew this line was being discontinued so the price was super.I needed an 'every day' crockery set so this was ideal, dishwasher safe, stylish and clean. The only observation I have is that the dinner plates are HUGE! Makes all my meals look rather pitiful, haha.

Excellent starter set, solid, look good and everything you need.The upward curve on the plates keep your dinner from falling off and the cups and bowls feel solid without being too heavy.Great that you can add to them by purchasing additional items from the same set.

Ugly cream decorations in an otherwise sturdy set

I've had my Jamie Oliver plates for many years and they still look good.These new plates are very similar in look and size but they're not an exact match.I'm the original set the pattern on the plate is more raised and stands out better. The older plates also feel better made.But that said its still a good dinner set and they're a close enough match that few would notice.Overall happy.
