Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity's final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began - Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse. In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between regaining her superhuman abilities at Wesker's hand and Umbrella's impending attack, this will be Alice's most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

Amazing end to an amazing franchise!
I’ve seen all the ones before so I needed to see this to tie them all together. I honestly really enjoyed this, typical zombie type film, blood and guts with the gore factor as well. I thought that the plot line was really good with parts having you at the edge of your seat, the plot twist was amazing too. Enjoyed the ending and think they tied this franchise up well…..or did they?

An Enjoyable Movie Franchise
Big fan of this franchise, It might not be everyone's cup of tea but still they are the most successful game to film franchise ever. The movies are always action packed and the storylines have always been pretty good too. Even if some of the earlier movies lacked that final cutting edge to make them great movies they are always enjoyable to watch. The later movies in this franchise have benefited massively from the 3D format and look great with Paul W.S Anderson filming the last few with proper 3D rigs. Sadly this one wasn't shot in 3D, rather it was converted but it is still in IMAX 3D and looks great. A great way to end the franchise.

Some good bits but feels tired and going-through the motions...
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter feels tired. It's not a terrible film but there is very much a sense of going through the motions and there's a lot of scenes which are either pandering to fanboys who want to point out stuff from earlier films - or just plain lazy writing. The bad guy is no way bad enough - he's like a second-hand Sean Bean and Wesker, the bad guy you love to hate has been relegated to pressing a few buttons and sipping whisky. Really. There's a few nice scenes - especially at the start - but you really feel distanced from the characters because your favourite ones really can't die...it never seems that they are in real danger and this is a big problem with all CGI hero movies. There are people raving about how good it is but I actually thought Retribution was better than this with more original thinking. The scene is set for another movie should they want to make one but this one was clearly made for the money.... it's time to leave the final chapter at exactly that. Still, big thanks to Milla for seeing it through.

A good 3d film for the zombie hunters out there.
Go 3d or don't bother. This movie is much like the others. Lots of zombies , the lead character goes back to raccoon city for the final chapter. Of course they just released the cgi film 'resident evil vendetta" I saw it in Colorado springs. But sadly it was not 3d. It should have been , like this one. This really takes off in 3d. And it's how you want to see it. The picture looks good and the blu ray is worth owning. This is not a great movie, but it is a fun 3d romp. Much like the new mummy 3d film.
