So my charger port stopped working after a year and I was quoted $500 to repair it and my warranty wasn't applicable BUT it's okay because guess what? You can charge these with a regular shmegular usb c/ type c charger. Although if you decide to do this make sure the adapter/box that you're using is at least 65w so that it charges optimally and doesn't cause any long term issues. It's okay if it's a higher wattage because the device itself won't pull more power than it needs.Besides the whole charger debacle this is a wonderful device. I purchased a few weeks after I started taking college classes because the one I already had was too big and bulky. This one is slim and doesn't take up much space. I can fit it on a school desk to take notes and still have enough room for my tablet which I have my textbooks on. It is heavier than I expected but it's tolerable. The touch screen is super convenient. And do to it's smaller size it makes studying anywhere possible. Then when it comes time to take a break it's crisp speakers and quality graphics make movie breaks a dream.If it wasn't for the fact that you have 2 different charging options I would've told you not to buy it because the slim design makes it more complicated to take the device apart and put it back together if you do need repairs which make them pricier. Its also hard to get the parts themselves. But since the issue of the dead charger port isn't actually a problem I've fallen in love with this device all over again!

I am using this laptop for my home and personal use. this so fast and powerful for browsing and gaming.In simple words it is a Microsoft's MacBook. it works same like apple device. slim and poweful.

I am no computer expert, just a regular user. Love this laptop so far because of the speed! In all fairness, my old one may be overloaded with programs at start-up and shutdown and may have collected some spyware over the years of use, but.... I just loooaave this new one shutting down within one second! rather than having to wait for it to shut down. I ask it to shut down and boom, it's off. It also comes up lightning fast, and when I put in the pin I don't even have to press "return" for it to run with it and open. It opens immediately. Love it!As others have said, they were a bit stingy with only one USB port. I have a remote mouse and a memory stick. Have to use the touch pad when the stick is in since there is only one port. Not so nice.

Wonderful product: 15" display is the way, not obtrusive at all. Super skinny and lightweight unit. Lighted keyboard is done subtle and elegant... keyboard travel fantastic Track is nice size, not quite big as my macbook but very good size. System is very fast in this configuration 512 gb 16 gb ram... in my opinion no need to go to next level, save the $500. Look and finish is amazing. flips open with one hand which is nice. Power brick has a usb charging port which is awesome.The 3 cons are: only 1 USB C / Thunderbolt 4 port, would have been easy to add 1 or 2 more - 720 camera is odd in this day and age not to do a 1080, battery life is wildly overestimated, no way 17 hours in any scenario... they seem to do this with all the surface line as my surface book was also way over specked on battery life.Even with the 3 cons it is an amazing unit and I am thrilled with it.

This is my second Surface Laptop, and the quality and value are even better than the first one. This is a top-notch machine that is fast, thin, sleek and elegant. My first Surface laptop is still going strong after 8 and half years and expect this one will last just as long up and until I'm ready for another upgrade. I was thinking of getting a MacBook at one point but decided to stay with the Surface since I felt it was a better value for the money.

I was really excited for this laptop. I order the one with the 15-inch screen. It arrived, and the moment I started it up, I noticed a screen defect. The left one or two inches of the screen would periodically flash different colors for a second or less. It wasn't often, and I couldn't reproduce it on demand, but for a brand-new laptop that costs this much, it shouldn't have a hardware defect right out of the box like that. Note that I installed all available software updates too, just to make sure.So, I returned the laptop to Amazon and ordered another one. I started up the second and THE SAME PROBLEM WAS STILL OCCURRING. I immediately processed another return. I don't know if this was a bad batch or what, but I no longer trust Microsoft with this model, and I can't keep returning them to Amazon for fear of suspicion being raised against me.In two decades of working in IT, I've never seen a laptop with a screen glitch like this on day one with no damage of some sort--let alone two laptops. I'm very sad I need to go figure out another laptop model to get now. The Surface Laptop 5 looked great to me.

So i love microsoft products in general. Its light weight and the screen size is just spot on! But if i need to be honest then yeah it doesnt have the best battery life if i compare it with mac.. If you have multiple tabs on and running internet and working straight then it would last you about 8 hours straight. If you leave it on then it can go for days without draining too much battery. But then u get the problem with the screen freezing now and then. Overall its a 4/5 for me.
