Petzl is an excellent company and of great quality. We used them for years in the service and I’m sure they still due. I bought this cheaper one just for fishing after sunset. I would also recommend nitecore or surefire but they’re too much money for what I’m using it for. Three brightness settings on white and red which I use mostly enables a very long battery life. I was very pleased to see it shipped with 3 AAA Duracell batteries, not some off brand alkalines from chinah. Very lightweight and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend.

Bright. Intuitive. A little inconvenient to charge battery.

great bit of kit

This was a perfectly fine headlamp until the battery got low. Instead of slowly getting dimmer like a normal headlamp, it started flashing extremely brightly and rapidly. I went from enjoying a nice evening walk to feeling like I was about to throw up in a matter of seconds. This product is a safety hazard; imagine if the batteries ran low while I was rock climbing or if someone with epilepsy were using it. Avoid this poorly and carelessly designed product

I had a previous generation Petzl headlamp that I absolutely loved. Originally bought it because my husband and I were full-timing in a rtt. Sadly, after a few years of minimal use on my part, after we moved into a sticks and bricks, my beloved Petzl bit the dust. I left the batteries in and they corroded the connections and there wasn't much I could do about it. Well we're about to sell our house and hit the road again! So I figured the quality would still be there in this newer Petzl. It feels nice. The mechanics of turning the battery housing around take some getting used to. But it was easy to open and get the batteries in there. Upon initial use, just to test it out, the 3 settings are bright. The 1st setting seems like I can get by just fine. But then the 2nd and 3rd settings are like someone turned on the sun in this little headlamp. They will probably be overkill, but since we like to boondock, maybe they will come in handy for viewing our surroundings. The head strap is wonderful, part of what I liked about my last one. It will hold up, and it's got some stretch, but a sturdy hold. Now, I docked one star because the one button for all the light settings is a bit wack. My last Petzl was super easy to use, hold the button, the red light comes on. Not convenient, but no biggie, it worked. This one, right out of the package, I press and hold trying to get the red light to come on, and nothing happens. I must have done this 5 or 6 times before, I don't know how, the red light finally came on. When you live on the road and use your headlamp for daily tasks, especially at night, it needs to be fast and convenient. Maybe I'll just need to play with it a few more times, but so far, the red light inconvenience is worth a star. I also did a lot of research trying to find the best fit to replace my last Petzl, even looking at other brands. I ended on this lamp because I thought it had 3 settings, a red, and a green light. Guess I should have looked harder because this particular lamp does Not have a green light. I wouldn't dock a star for that, as it's my fault. But the red is more pertinent, so I can't be too upset, it's got everything my last lamp had. Even though I haven't used it long term yet, I'd say it's pretty good overall. Definitely brighter than the previous gen, and I look forward to using it (once I figure out the red light...).

Absolutely a GREAT product. A lot of light and great battery life.

This is a very nice head lamp. It works well. The lamp can be adjusted from straight ahead or angled downward. The angle is maintained by detents that work fine if you are not playing contact sports. Battery life is very good. Comfortable to wear. I would buy again.

Excellent when working I had my last one 10 years and the headstrap became loose. Could have bought just the strap but I thought I’d treat myself to a new one £32 too late to return to Amazon but I haven’t been bothered to send it back to manufacturer who I’m sure will replace it

Franchement, super lampe : le faisceau est large et suffisamment puissant pour courir ou marcher de nuit en restant bien à l’aise. Le bandeau est confortable, ne glisse pas et la lampe reste légère sur la tête. Le fait de pouvoir l’utiliser soit avec des piles, soit avec la batterie rechargeable CORE est un vrai plus niveau praticité et budget. Je l’ai finalement renvoyée pour passer sur un modèle RL plus puissant, mais pour la plupart des sorties outdoor sur activité < 1h, l’ACTIK mérite clairement ses 5 étoiles

操作性は旧タイプ（アクティック）と同じで問題ないですが毎晩のウォーキングごのヘッドバンドの脱着が面倒だと実感。（汗だくになるので毎晩洗濯しているのですがこのNEWアクティックは要領がつかめないので脱着をトラバースしました。気密性は旧タイプとは比べ物にならないしかし電池のアクセス（蓋）はやや硬いと取るか気密性が良いととるかの見解を？旧タイプ（アクティック）は汗で壊れました、でも私の中の逸品でした。（残骸、捨てずにマイ机に鎮座しています）
