The USB C socket is sunken and some of the USB C cords have a wider plug surround, therefore don't sit tight on the connector. One has to shave away some plastic around the USB C port in order to have certain cords sits flush and secure. This doesn't not seems to be a problem on the version with only 3 power outlets and the USB A and USB A module, judging by the company provided pictures.

I use this on my desktop. I'm not at my desk all the time so it is a great spot to have and to charge things on. I needed a 8 or 10 ft power cord to reach the outlet. I'm happy

Easy install and very functional.

I would find it hard to rate this outlet box anything but 5 stars. It is the nicest, cleanest socket box that I have run across and the metal case and lid are very substantial as well as nice looking. I checked the USB charging ports and they deliver a perfect 5.1 volts. The box can be mounted with the lid facing either direction. There is room to close the lid and still run cords out but unless you have a very limber cord it's still going to lift a bit. That doesn't bother me but might some folks. Since the devices I plug in are test instruments on my table I prefer to have the opening facing me but on an office desk you might prefer it facing away from you. In any case it is easily switchable.

When I first opened this up, I was very surprised at how durable it felt and thought this was a really good item for my desk needs. Although, it feels like a quality product, I was disappointed that whenever there are cords plugged in, the door flap doesn't close all the way down. It stays popped open a little bit. I was looking for something that closes flush. I'm really glad I checked this beforehand, before installing on my desk. If the door won't close all the way, I have no desire to use it for it's intended purpose.

Last week I was camping and thought, "Wouldn't it be great if I could put a power strip underneath a hinged door next to my hinged countertop?" The hinged countertop is hiding my chest-style refrigerator-freezer and on the shelf below the frig is my Bluetti power station. I could plug that power strip into the Bluetti and have easy access to power and USB charging (there are a LOT of things in my camper that run on USB or small USB batteries) for the microwave and anything else that requires electricity. Two days after returning home, this thing popped up while browsing Amazon and I jumped on it. It is gorgeous with its silver satin finish and was easy to install, other than chiseling out a tight space between refrigerator and sink. I love how it leaves my countertop space covered and flat. A great find!
