I am guilty of not reading the reviews before buying. So many people have reported the exact same fault I found. Quite incredible how the company has done nothing to rectify this. The reason I bought without checking is my Mum, who cannot communicate verbally due to motor neurone disease, has a small Boogie Board from her speech therapist which is great. But it's very small so we thought let's just buy the next size up - same manufacturer so should be fine. Wrong.I bought one - after about a week it stopped working, specifically the erase button stopped working. This is what all those other reviewers had found too. I assumed it might be a one off so returned it and got a replacement. It lasted even less time, maybe 3 days. I thought maybe it's the battery, so I bought a new battery and that made no difference. I have returned the Boogie Board. The company has not responded to my emails. Absolutely hopeless - I have never had such a bad product from Amazon and I don't think I've ever left a 1 star review before. This is truly useless.DO NOT BUY THIS.

I use this for my shopping list mainly. I used to have an old Boogie board but unfortunately the battery died and you could not renew it. This time I bought a cheaper version from another supplier but it was so inferior that I could hardly see what I had written. I returned that and bought this Boogie board which is perfect for the job and you can change the battery.

Absolutely disappointing my 8 year old daughter begged for one of these i payed the asking price which i believe u pay for good quality so paying thisAnd received it today and already it doesnt erase after using it she's so disappointed and so am i for what i payed for it it was a waste of money and i have an upset child and a boogie board that is no use i wouldn't recommend at all.

I bought this item on recommendation. It was for my elderly aunt who has motor neurones and can't speak well. It worked brilliantly for a few weeks. It stopped clearing the screen and changing the battery didn't work. I returned it and got a replacement straight away. This one lasted longer (2 months almost ) it has now gone the same way but is now over the time to return the product. My aunt is not using the boogie board all the time. Only for visitors. So item doesn't last long at all.

I normally take some time before writing reviews about a product. I bought this product in august 2016 and i though to use it for 6 months and then share my thoughts. I bought this thinking its a made in USA product but its made in China(on offense but my experience with cheap made in China products are not good).You know what, it stopped working :( . I changed the battery but still not working.The build quality is poor(specially at this price range) and you can feel and smell the plastic in you hand. I have asked help from boogie board support team but still waiting for their response. Lets see...

Product delivered on +/-30 Jan 2018. Mild use from 6YO. product failed on 30March. "return window" closed. 30GBP WASTED. I have changed the battery and still it does not work. DO NOT BUY THIS IT WILL NOT LAST!

This product was delivered as per schedule and we gave it to our Grand Son for his birthday.We can still write on the front screen but are unable to erase. We have tried fitting a new battery but this has made no difference. The product now needs to be replaced or refund?

Bought for my mum in hospital following cancer surgery and unable to speak. Gadget is very flimsy and sensitive, marking very easily, which a pain since it has no protection cover. Individual words cannot be erased, so have to be crossed through. Lasted 3 days then completely conked out. For a glorified child's magnetic board, it was definitely not worth the money. Mum ended up with good old pen and paper.
