Solidly built. I already had a Ergotron arm so I knew to expect the same industrial-robot type sturdy design. If you try to hold a monitor or laptop on the end of a 60cm long lever by the end of the lever you appreciate the need for strong materials.This was easily installed on an lx arm. The plate from the arm extends a bit beyond the plate on the tray, which doesn’t look as good as it could but it doesn’t interfere with the function. It holds the laptop well.For a modest investment I now have effectively both a standing desk and a way to display my laptop and external display side by side. This is welcome under current work-from-home conditions!For scale, the images show a 13 inch laptop, 24 inch monitor, and two lx arms with the normal length pole.

This is a well built stand - it is not to be compared with £15 cheapo stands that may seem tempting - but may just fall apart. Make sure that the pads are positioned so that they do not block the fans of the laptop that will sit on it. Once on and adjusted, the laptop is sturdily in place. It is worth adding, which I cannot see in the listing, that it has a pad underneath which means the whole unit - perfect if you want to quickly turn it round to share something with a colleague nearby but don't want to take the laptop off the stand.I have had these for a number of years and will buy more for as long as they are stocked.

Product is well constructed and works well for its intended purpose of lifting up a laptop. I use it with a macbook pro 15in. Only actual functional advantage over a pile of books is that it keeps the space underneath more free, and can be adjusted to be flush with a second monitor. It's a bit more expensive than I'd like, considering what it is, but I couldn't see a cheaper alternative with the same features.

Very pleased and surprised how securely this tray holds my 15" laptop. Before buying I wasn't too fond of the grey aluminium bottom stays but once the laptop is on they're of course not visible. I just see the laptop and the black rubber knobs which is grand.

Angle tilts well and raises/lowers with ease. Usual Ergotron quality but would have liked it slightly cheaper (It is, after all at the top end of laptop stands where simple folding plastic suffices in most cases)

Excellent for large-medium sized laptops used with a docking station firmly screwed to the base plate.

It works quite well. The "arm" does loose the fixture relatively early on, but it still works well.
