Replacing this gear set solved the problem of a slipping chain.
I needed to borrow a special tool to remove the cogs. It was exactly the same as the one I was replacing that is important and it was cheaper than any buying from a cycle specialist. I also replaced the chain as well which is best.

Fitted on my shimano claris. Went for the 11-30 as I have the pistons for it. Runs smooth, seems to stay cleaner than others I have used...yet to find out why. This was fitted on a road bike with no problems.
