Good mdf sealer
Used this product for mdf panelling to seal for painting. its a good product to use and is effective as a primer coat prior to painting. Size of the tin was just right for the job, easy to clean brushes .

Quick primer/sealer for porous board.
Does a good job of sealing MDF boards prior to painting. Use of a roller was preferable to that of brush application.

Great product
This is very versatile and easily applied. After applying several coats my MDF project is looking great, easily painted over and I feel is now completely water resistant. That said, time will tell. Good value, good product, dries and prepares surfaces just as it advertises. Will use again.

Good MDF sealer
Used this to seal some thick MDF on all surfaces before painting with a topcoat of external varnish. Wanted to really waterproof the MDF as it's going to have an aquarium standing on it. Two coats gave a good seal and was nice and smooth ready for the varnish. I did not find the MDF swelling or becoming uneven as some others have commented but my coats were not thickly applied. Dried very fast indeed. Good product and brush cleaned up well in water after use.

Impressive
Impressive finish, but best result is giving cupboard doors two coats after removal of vinyl wrap. Easy to clean brushes with just water. Great value and goes a long way.

It would be perfect for some jobs where a very high quality finish ...
Product is OK if you are not looking to paint the MDF to a mirror finish afterwards. The sealer is waterbased so although it does dry quite quickly, it still causes the fibres to swell slightly and leaves a slightly uneven textured finish. It would be perfect for some jobs where a very high quality finish is not required but if it is, I have had much better experience using shellac instead of this product as it dries far quicker and causes no swelling of the fibres, even on the edges.

Maybe just wrong use of product. I cut MDF on my CNC and edges are always very rough. I thought if I sanded the edges and then sealed they would stay smooth. But it seams even after multiple coats of sealer the edges still come back rough

Worked great! I sealed some MDF that I used as a mirror frame above my bathroom sink. Its been about 3 months with messy kids that splash water everywhere and its protected the MDF well!

Richtet maximal die Fasern auf, versiegelt nicht. Das kann jede andere Grundierung besser, oder gleich ein dickerer Lack, ohne Vorbehandlung, und dafür eine dünne Schicht mehr.

I got this to seal a particle board cabinet. It is very low-fume but does require ventilation. I couldn't smell it at all. It seemed to work well. Only 2 hours drying time. However, it's supposed to be clear, but is actually a light brown when dry. For a thin coat, this will probably not present a problem. It may be darker with extra coats.
