Addis 2.5L Compost Caddy - White & Metallic

Really pleased with this little compost caddy. It’s compact, stylish, and fits nicely anywhere in the kitchen without looking out of place. The lid doesn’t seal 100%, but it still does a great job keeping any smells inside. Lovely design overall and easy to clean too.

This food caddy is perfect. Good size so not intrusive on my worktop. Its neat looking. It never smells even when full. I use the bags for simplicity. The inner liner comes out easy so you can wash it.

I love the overall design and appearance of this white caddy. It’s quite small at 2l but more than big enough for my household. Easy to keep clean with a lift out inner ‘bucket’ (grey). The inner bucket sits snugly inside the caddy and this holds the liner bag in place securely. So what’s the catch? Quite literally the hinge for the lid. That’s the catch. It sits on the inner bucket and clicks the bucket into place when you replace it after emptying. The hinge makes it very fiddly to get the inner bucket out. I have to prise it out from under the hinge. I know it doesn’t look like much but it’s difficult because there’s nothing to grip and very annoying. I imagine that it could be an issue if you had impaired mobility in your hands. But then perhaps it’s just me! I’ll persevere with it for time being because I don’t want to waste money on buying another. But I can see that at some time in the future I’ll either get fed up with nearly ripping out my (very short) nails every day or the hinge will snap. It’s just a question of who snaps first. Me or the hinge. Minus 1 ⭐️ because of the hinge.

Nice clean lines, sits at the back of the worktop where we prep vegetables. I was initially worried that there is not a tight seal, but there has been no trace of odour. The removable internal container makes it nicer to take out to the compost bin outside and quicker to clean. I think the quality is good. IT feels sturdy like it will last for some time. The handle flods quite compactly behind so is out of the way. Colour is nice and clean white and not yellowish or overly blue. Good neutral white. Capacity is not massive but for the two of us is is plentyu.

This Addis Caddy is sturdy, well made, but not too heavy. Not too large on the counter top, yet large enough. Unlike other versions there is a pull-out inner bucket, so easier to clean. Excellent value at £12

I use this for food waste more than composting. My general rubbish bin is smaller than my recycling bin because it used to smell with uneaten cat food and general waste, and despite the bag only being half full it had to be emptied. Now that I use this little caddy for food waste my bin no longer smells and can be filled before needing to be emptied. It’s a compact caddy but it’s big enough for my needs, and my kitchen doesn’t smell of rubbish. I had to buy 3l composting bags for this because I couldn’t find any other bags small enough, a bag smaller than 3l wouldn’t work because it probably wouldn’t fit over the top of the caddy’s bin. You can hide the bag once put in the container. It does what I wanted from it and looks great. It wouldn’t suit a family though.

This replaced an old, broken square shaped caddy I bought years ago. I like the design and shape of this. Being oval it fits less obtrusively next to my draining board. I like the black colour. Lid keeps flies away. Handle is helpful for moving it around and carrying to my compost heap. I like the removable inner container which can then be thoroughly washed - but the removal of it is not as slick as I would like. You just have to push the hinge of the lid back a bit to get it out. The size suits me well. Takes peelings from say two or three dinners before needing to be emptied.

Easy to clean and looks good on the kitchen work top - shiny black with a grey insert. Holds a fair bit so can prep a complete day of meals before it needs emptying. The only thing I didn't like was that the lid doesn't just pull straight off, it has to be pulled to one side, then it comes off easily. It took a lot of frustrating tries before I worked that out - it should be made clearer. It is sturdy and should last awhile.

Contenitore compost bello esteticamente, ben fatto e molto comodo da riporre una volta utilizzato.

J'adore ce panier à composte. Il est compact et discret dans ma cuisine. Facile à transporter et à nettoyer. Rien à redire.

Fijn GFT bakje voor eenpersoons huishouden. Pluspunt dat alle onderdelen in de vaatwasser kunnen.

Der kleine Kompostkübel ist schlicht und ideal für einen kleinen Haushalt. Ich hab mich für diesen entschieden, weil der innere Kübel rausgenommen werden kann. So brauche ich nicht noch ein umweltschädliches Sackerl verwenden, weil ich direkt mit dem inneren Küberl zum Kompost gehe. Das Innenteil ist auch extrem glatt, so dass der Inhalt problemlos rausgeht. Und auf Grund der Größe lässt es sich sehr gut reinigen. Ich kann es empfehlen!
