Don't dismiss this as a "toy". It's versatile
In the truest sense, Milliput is a air hardening clay that allows you to create small 'ceramic' items ... but that's not all it can do. I use this a lot in a mechanical enviroment. Sometimes, when I build an item, I may need to (say) secure a nut inside a tube. Milliput is great for this. Pull off a small 1/2" blob from each of the two rolls of material, kneed them together for about 30 seconds, and put it into position. (You can smooth the surface using a wet finger) Next day, it is rock hard ... and I mean ROCK hard. It CAN be filed / sanded - but it's a bit of a job. It's that hard. In the same way, you can fix threaded bolts into objects. In an ideal World, you would cut a piece of steel to shape, and then cut a thread in it ... but we don't all have access to lathes. This method works just as well. You can even use it to fix items to walls. You can buy special resins that allow you to fix threaded studding to walls. But on a smaller scale, this works just as well. So don't think of it as a simple "toy" like plasticene; this is as good as a resin mix for securing objects you don't want to move!

Using on outdoor stone fountain with big chip out of edge
Good product but needed husband to manipulate both pieces together as very firm. My fingers not strong enough. Easy to use for my purpose, moulded to shape but did dry a weird aqua greeny/blue colour. I have read this before in reviews and ignored it. . I choose the silver grey for the statue. Wonder what the grey/yellow dries like? Would be interested to know. Have tried to rub some mossy bits in to hide it. But would buy again for the fact it supposedly holds water.

Good stuff..
I brought this to repair my disability scooter with.. it’s fairly good it activates with saliva, sets over night.. and you need to make sure you use disposable rubber gloves though and wear old clothes if you use it.. or maybe it was just me.. when it’s set I recommend 24 - 48 hours.. I used a sanding disc for the job on my fibreglass body work.. then I primed it and resprayed it.. and it now looks as good as new..

Great product for crafts
Fantastic product. I can now transform unused flower pots into water features by using this product to block them up.

A fabulous emergency get me out of trouble product.
I love this stuff. It has got me out of trouble so many times, as an adhesive, a filler etc. I am never without it at home nin several colours. Frustratingly if I don't have any emergencies for a while it does not have a long shelf life and can be hard whenever you need it. As a result I repurchase it every six months or so to ensure its fresh when I need it.

Easy to use and apply; needs disposable gloves when handling
Other Milliput filler colours have been previously used and has been found effective. Described as Silver/Grey, once mixed there is a distinct pale green tinge to the material but, as with some others, the colour may change as it hardens and cures. Because of the amount of kneading it requires to thoroughly mix the two components, or an equal proportion of each, it was found best to use rubber or polythene gloves as the material can and will stick to the fingers! It is possible to clean them with a liberal dose of petrol (artists' cleaning fluid used outdoors and with care) and a cloth but avoiding the problem is the best option. The mixed material remains workable for a few minutes but then begins to harden. After 24 hours it is quite solid but can require another day or two (depends on temperature) to fully harden and solidify. When dry, it is as hard as stone but can be filed smooth and then painted, if needed.
