Good kettle at best price.
Review of the Russell Hobbs Brushed Stainless Steel & Black Electric 1.7L Cordless KettleI recently upgraded my kitchen with the Russell Hobbs Brushed Stainless Steel & Black Electric Kettle, and it has quickly become a standout appliance. As someone who appreciates both form and function, this kettle strikes the perfect balance. The aesthetic is the first thing that impressed me. The brushed stainless steel finish with black accents is sleek, modern, and looks far more expensive than it is. It has a high-quality feel that elevates the look of my countertop, and the cordless design with a 360-degree base is incredibly practical for both left and right-handed users.Functionally, this kettle is a powerhouse. The 3kW element delivers on its "Fast Boil" promise, heating water in a matter of moments, which is a lifesaver on busy mornings. The 1.7L capacity is generous, easily making enough for a large family or for entertaining guests. The features are what truly set this kettle apart. The 'Perfect Pour' spout is a game-changer—it genuinely prevents drips and spills, which is something I've struggled with on countless other kettles. The push-to-open lid is another excellent design choice, making it easy and safe to fill, even with a single hand. Maintenance is also simple thanks to the removable, washable anti-scale filter. This not only ensures a clean cup every time but also helps to prolong the life of the appliance.Overall, the Russell Hobbs Brushed Stainless Steel & Black Electric Kettle is a premium product without the premium price tag. It's a testament to thoughtful design and reliable performance. I highly recommend it for anyone in the market for a new kettle that is as stylish as it is efficient.

A stylish and efficient kettle
This is a great value good-looking and efficient kettle. It is made of stainless steel with a brushed finish. It has black plastic in the places where you are likely to touch it as it obviously gets quite hot so; the handle, the lid and the base. It’s quite a nicely designed object. It pours nicely with its well-engineered “perfect pour” spout. You can actually boil fairly small amounts of water in it which is good and it has “water window” so that you can accurately judge how much water you need to boil. Being a cordless kettle, it sits well on its base and can be rotated on it through 360 degreesIt has a concealed element and the insides of the kettle are smooth meaning that it’s easy to keep clean. If you live in an area with hard water, this makes it easier to remove any build up of limescale. Also, to prevent any loose limescale ending up in your drink, there is a filter on the spout which works reasonably well.I bought this kettle to replace another Russell Hobbs product which ended up (after many years of use) with a broken switch. That was a slightly more expensive version of this kettle that is described as “Quiet & Fast Boil”. Although it is true to say that the old kettle was a bit quieter to boil than this one, it had the disbenefit of being more difficult to clean inside and descale due to having a “diffuser” inside which was more prone to limescale build up.So unless the quiet boil feature is important to you, I would say that this cheaper model is better if you live in an area with hard water.Overall I have found this kettle to be well-suited to my needs. I don’t always need to boil much more than a cup of water so it’s good that it can do that pretty quickly. But it also has a good capacity of 1.7 litres for the times that I want to boil more.I definitely recommend this kettle but if you want the quieter version and don’t have hard water then the slightly more expensive model is also worth considering.

Good Kettle at an excellent price
I trust the Russell Hobbs brand and always find their kettles to be reliable and of good quality.I’m giving four stars and not five because the style of on/off switch on the kettle has broken on our last two similar kettles (each time just outside the 24 month extended guarantee period), rendering otherwise perfectly working kettles useless. (The last Kettle was Russell Hobbs and the one before a different brand but with similar style switches). It is also very noisy when heating up.What I love is the easy opening lid for filling and the fantastic poring spout. It’s also a cool design which looks good on the worktop.I chose it because the price was good and it was made by a manufacturer I trust.

Good value made to last.
Great Kettle. Fast boiling saves energy and on off switch is really robust looking like it will last. Has level indicator to help adjust small cup fill to save energy and money and short stubby size to fit in your kitchen. Very happy with this kettle. Made to last.
