Massive 450g for big trip fun
This amazing fuel canister is great for weekend plus trips. Just an amazing offering from Jetboil if you can spare the room and weight for a 450g fuel canister, this works well with pretty much all Jetboil products including the PCS and Helios. Enjoy, have fun and get out and enjoy a great weekend with this canister!

It wont go bad and it fits inside my JetBoil Sumo--but only by itself.
This type of fuel wont expire. You could store it indefinitely just for emergencies or only occasional need and it's as safe as new. I imagine this is a good type of fuel for survivalists and doomsday preppers to stock up on for that reason, but certainly if you live in an earthquake zone where the gas to your house could be cut off unexpectedly it's a good idea to have some fuel stored. And of course it's good for camping and cookouts as well. This is the largest canister they make. To be specific, they all have the same circumference, but this is the tallest canister they make. It easily fits in the pot of my JetBoil Sumo but not with any of the other parts or accessories. Still, those other parts are small, so it's easier to stash them somewhere else in your pack than to store put the fuel canister somewhere else.If you want to get the fuel and other parts inside your JetBoil, then go with the 100gm--so long as that's all you need. I prefer the larger canister because it keeps me prepared for the unexpected, and any little extra is a luxury while either camping or making due after a Superstorm Sandy situation.

Jet Boil
I bought a Jet Boil about 5 years ago and have used it on several occasions. I believe it's one of the best portable ways to heat water and cook food. I believe the only drawback to this product is you can't travel on airlines with the fuel. Much of my time in the field is done out of state and I travel by air so often I am left without taking heat tabs to use for cooking. However, if you're an avid camper this unit is light weight and works well under almost any conditions.

Great stuff, but try to source it locally for cheaper
Jetpower Fuel is awesome. For backpacking purposes, I have recently switched from a large propane stove to a much smaller Etekcity isobutane stove, and had little experience in these canisters. I have found that I will never go back to the propane, as this takes up so little space, lasts so long, and heats so efficiently. I have the 450G cannister, and I think there is about half left, and I have cooked (ie.boiled water for noodles, rice, coffee, etc) for four people on two weekend trips, and for five people on a week long trip. I use the Stanley 32oz stainless steel pot, and it is amazing how fast the water boils, and how little fuel is used each time. I have now, however, found Jetpower Fuel locally for a much lower price, so I will source it elsewhere.

Long lasting
I use this with a mosquito repellent unit on my back porch during the summer. This size lasts for several seasons even with daily use.

The large size (450gm) is perfect for groups, like boy scounts.
Although its a bit much for one person to carry. I took this on my AT thru-hike in the beginning and ended up leaving it in a hiker box over a month later and buying a medium-sized replacement can. Rule of thumb is the small cans last you about a week for one person. Medium cans about 2.5 weeks. Large can was still going after over a month of daily use. Estimates based on making a cup of coffee in the morning and boiling water for dinner at night.
