It works!
What can I say! Excellent product. On the odd occasion I WFH, I need two monitors, work provided one, but I need an extra screen. I had an old monitor, which only had vga input, and my laptop, only HDMI output. This compact adapter did the job. Compact, easy to install, brilliant price!

Works brilliant
I got this as all the hdmi ports on my tv were broken and I was gonna buy a new one but this thing, which was less than a fiver saved me a lot of money and works perfect. Great little device

Works fine, but difficult to tighten screws when attaching it to the monitor.
The adapter worked well for displaying HDMI output from a raspberry pi on an older vga monitor! It was however difficult to screw in place on the monitor due to the recessed nature of the screws. You can’t do them up with a screwdriver. This left the adapter a bit wobbly, but I cable tied the cable to the monitor so it wasn’t a huge issue and the actual display conversion from hdmi to vga works fine. I haven’t used the audio out, so can’t comment on that.
