In my quest to find a replacement for my black Levi’s denim jacket, I scoured the Internet and read hundreds of reviews. I was never happy with the Levi’s jacket. The sleeves were always too long and it fit very boxy. Denim jackets that come in black have a more limited selection than the classic blue color.I am 5’08” 165lb thin but muscular with wider shoulders, so I always wear a large. Reviews on this specific jacket were mixed. Some people writing that the waist line is too high. Since the jacket was on sale and I could return it if I wasn’t happy, I figured I’d take a chance. I ordered the large.The jacket arrived in a clear plastic bag with a tiny shipping label. As soon as I put the jacket on it fit perfectly.-The sleeves are a proper fitted length not too long, they come down to my wrists stopping at my hands. Unlike the long sleeved Levi’s jacket.-The collar on the jacket is just right. The one of my Levi’s used to turn and bend like doggy ears. And on the back of the collar of the Levi’s, it would always crimp up.-The front inside pockets are sunk in about 2 inches so your keys will not in advertently fall out if you’re sitting.-There is enough room in the top pockets to fit an iPhone 13 as pictured.-Inside the jacket there are two cavernous pockets behind the outside pockets.-The jacket sits perfectly at my waist it is not too high. If you have a long torso, it might sit a little too high for you.-The back of the jacket at the bottom has the ubiquitous double button to adjust the waist.-Buttoning the jacket, which I almost never do is not that difficult, because the button holes are large enough to accommodate the metal buttons. As a whole, the jacket fits trimmer than the large Levi’s jacket, which is cut like an extra large size.-The color of the jacket is not a stark black. It looks like it’s been washed many times, so it’s a little faded. Some jackets are stiff when you put them on this was soft right out of the bag.In summation, this is a proper denim jacket. Good work Gap!

The Gap can put out some cool well made stuff here and there. Fits perfectly. It’s pretty warm down to around 20°. If the wind is blowing the cold goes through the sleeves despite the inner quilting.

Very nice jacket. Not to light and not to heavy. The length at the waist could be a little longer. I'm 6'2 255 lbs and 50 inch chest and 36 inch waist ordered an extra large and it fits good on my wide shouldering, back and around the chest. Has a bit of stretch in the upper back which is nice. Wish the waist was tappered more narrow but not a big deal. I guess they figure most people are fat asses and don't have athletic muscular builds lol. I would recommend this jacket. Just as good as Levi's.

This has become my favorite jean jacket now, especially after buying also Gap jeans same color, you cannot go wrong. Comfortable, great fit, not too heavy or light so in between and looks good

I've been looking for an outdoor wok jacket for a long time. Couln't find one I liked for the price I wanted to pay. This one is a perfect fit, the size chart was spot on. The price was reasonable and it is very warm. I can now work outside in the winter in comfort.

Good quality jacket at a nice price. So glad I found a quality product from an established American store- it fits as expected, it well made and has the features not often found on Asian products (4 outside pockets plus 2 interior, etc.) The material is not flimsy, the color nice, the jacket is comfortable. Buy American!Yes I would recommend!

It was a Christmas gift. He loves the jacket. I ordered a 2x and it is roomy. Great choice.

The jacket was great. It came exactly as pictured. It was just a little too small for me.
