Bought for my elderly parents after recent power cuts. They are very bright and give a bright white light. Ideal for unexpected power cuts. Sturdy, free standing or can be hung up, easy to use. My dad was very impressed and gave me his old faithful torch to take to the local tip! Great value for money too and as they are battery you don't have to worry about them being fully charged ready for use, so ideal for emergencies as long as you keep them topped up with batteries.

I bought these for our motorhome awning, and also bought hooks to hang them from the support bars. We haven’t had delivery of the motorhome yet, but I had looked at many (very expensive) lighting options. My husband insisted these would not be bright enough, but I tried just one in a dark bedroom, and it lit it up! I now have five, and I think our awning will look like Crystal Palace! Yes, you do need batteries, and I do not yet know how long they will last, but compared to the alternatives, all of which required a power source and fixings, these are amazingly inexpensive, simple to locate, and I think, very effective. The cost of the batteries is negated by the cost of the lamps.

I really didn't have a lot of expectations for these lights, but as we live in a remote rural area that suffers a lot of power drops I thought I would give them a go. Frankly I was amazed at how good they are. Being battery operated as opposed to rechargeable they can be ready to go very quickly. I know rechargeables are good but it relies on you remembering to keep them charged up and let's face it, out of sight, out of mind comes to play here. With these I have put batteries with them so it's pop in the batteries and away you go. I like the method of reducing light output by lowering the shroud and at full output it's easily enough to read a book when all the lights are out. They are light and appear to be well made. Super product and a good price. Recommended.

A clever design that allows the lamp to be hung on a hook, with an easy pull up mechanism to reveal a bright light. Great for emergency black outs as well as camping. Great value.

The media could not be loaded. These four lanterns are lightweight yet robust. I like the super-easy ‘pull up-push down’ function – no buttons to press. One lantern can lighten up my largest room, even without being on maximum setting! A lantern is a ‘hands-free’ alternative to using a torch, but I will find it invaluable in the event of a power cut. I can confidently recommend this product.
