Q: Do the hearing aids come off?

NO ~ They do not come off easily. I had cut them off to see if I could use on another doll. Unfortunately if you cut them off you are left with a hole in the middle of the doll's ear and the hearing aid isn't salvageable to try and put over the ear of another Barbie / Ken.

Q: This Barbie is very large and is not the same size as in the 60s, 70s, and even 80s. Are the classic Barbie sizes still available?

So…a few years ago now, they made multiple size bodies for the adult Barbies. If you want the 80s Barbie body for sewing vintage patterns, they have done re-releases of a few like Day-to-Night or Totally Hair. Newer Barbies have various bodies like tall, curvy, etc, and unfortunately the sewing catalogs are not printing patterns for these that I have seen so you have to adapt or draft your own.
