Really good Thermos flask!
This flask is as good as it's name suggests, keeping water hot for 12 hours, in fact it's still warm the next day. Attractive design with excellent pump action, I cannot fault it. It is very well made and I can see it will last for a long time. I tried a couple of cheaper options but they were very much inferior to this one, worth the extra money!

Functioned very well and suit a family's need
Keep the water temperature overnight, water dispensing well. Good quality.

Better than pioneer and Andrew James pump pots
The tile says it's all.It says hot enough to brew tea, when full with no air gap, for easily 12 hrs. Once you use a cup of water you lose the thermal efficiency as the air gap causes heat loss to the air within the vacuum chamber.... Anyway....It's glass insulated so it holds heat better than a stainless vacuum, it's more fragile but fine if you are keeping it on a kitchen worktop. It doesn't bleed much heat from the lid unlike the Pioneer and equivalents. One press of the pump puts out about 400ml of liquid, this is excellent compared to the shoddy 100ml ish flow per pump of the pioneer. It's better built than any of the other cruddy pump pots on Amazon. The lid pops off easily, the base spins easily, the flow of water is nice and smooth, the pump action is easy and flows very well.Pity they don't do a 5l... But I think this is a limitation of a glass vacuum , it'll probably crack under the weight of the water.....Basically the best pump pot you can buy I've found.Don't cheap out........

excellent for storage of hot water BUT has a weak point.
Bought this a few months ago and it has been in use everyday since it arrived. We store boiling water from our Buffalo airpot as a means of maximising our solar polar electricity. We store the boiling water from about lunchtime, overnight and it is hot enough to burn the skin if not careful and we can reboil quickly in the kettle first thing in the morning in about 30 s to make tea. An excellent product. Glass liners (whilst more fragile and hence need looking after) are far superior to the stainless steel lined thermos flasks. It is easy to clean with citric acid. Just look after the small plastic(?)/nylon(?) tube at the bottom of the plunger as this produces the pressure necessary to enable the pump action. The lever is easy to operate although care must be taken not to pinch a finger behind it. You only do this once!We have used this daily for 18 months BUT TODAY THE LEVER BROKE. It is plastic and the weak part of the design. It should really be a steel lever to last. The flask is excellent and would still work but can no longer be used safely as pouring very hot water from the spout is dangerous due to the delivery hole.

Heat retention test for this great flask
Had this nearly a whole week now, having read all the reviews as you do, and are very impressed.Have found it keeps water hotter than any top rated flask we have had to date which includes the 1.8 litre jobs. There is no doubt in my opinion that the glass liner flasks do keep water hotter than aluminium units do, having tested many by taking the temperature readings over differing periods.Prior to testing we held Utitlity room temp at a steady 15.9c. Flask was then pre-heated with 100c water for five minutes.I used the DIGIFLEX Digital LCD Food Thermometer Cooking Probe which I also bough from Amazon recently - its a great tool too!1st test with flask full and not used:Hrs passed | Temp0 - - - - - - 98.8c5 - - - - - - 89.810 - - - - - 82.112 - - - - - 78.520 - - - - - 69.724 - - - - - 65.72nd test will hopefully give some real life idea of water temp to be expected with water drawn.0 - - - - - - 99.4cat 2 hours into test, 2 cups of water are drawn.5 - - - - - - 88at 9 hours into test, 2 cups of water are drawn - leaving 4 cups remaining in flask.10 - - - - - 79.120 - - - - - 60.624 - - - - - 55.6The pump is great, as is the build of the unit, but i guess we will have to wait and see how it performs over time.I'll give an update, if possible, in 3 month or so time.Worth the money and less expensive than many top flasks although i=this is on the large size and not suitable for the backpack. The rotating base is very easy and pleasing to use and the carry hanlde is a comfortable.Like others, we have been using this for hot water storage.Take advantage of the PV solar panels during the day, by boiling lots of water thus making efficient use of that free power and reducing our power bill at night by using the stored hot water instead of having to put the kettle on.Hope the above helps

Thermos do not support their products.
I purchased two of these. They rarely get used but I purchased a quality brand with a view that parts will be available if needed. I accidentally dropped one and the glass vessel inside broke. My fault not that of Thermos. Tried to get a replacement part from Thermos and they tell me they do not do replacement vessels for them despite their website saying "Thermos prioritises replacing parts rather than the entire product whenever possible.” Clearly marketing speak. If you are considering this product as ‘quality’ one I suggest you buy the cheap copy version..
