Enjoy the finest quality Basmati rice with a delicate, aromatic flavor and tender, fluffy texture. Ideal for all your favorite rice dishes, from curries to pilafs. Review: Best Bulk Purchase of My Life - I bought this 20KG bag in late March 2020. I didn't buy it due to the craziness of people clearing out the shelves. NAY, I, a mere final year undergraduate, counted the pennies in my pocket and despaired at the price of Uncle Ben's Microwave Rice. "Why me!" I bleated, "will I forever be doomed to an existence of meals within small packets at nearly £2 apiece?". Then, as if the angels opened the heavens and blessed me with eternal youth, The Algorithm responded. Akin to Jesus during Judgement Day, it sat bestraddling a white horse named quantity and sounding its great horn of value for money; it cast away all the devils that had infested my existence. Anyway, fanciful writing aside, I would recommend this. I bought it for £25.50; I stand by my decision. I have used this one bag in around 280 - 330 meals (presuming each serving is roughly between 60 to 80g, I never measured the weight, just eyeballed it with one mug). So, let's round and say 300 meals. That means breaking down the price; it is £0.09 per serving. As of writing this, I have nearly eaten all the rice, and it almost feels like saying goodbye to an old friend. I remember the day when it arrived. I was thankful for having a lift in my building since I lived on the top floor up nine flights of stairs. In short, it's good rice, a bit different to Unbroken, but you get (at the time of purchase) 4x the amount of rice for the same price. £25 is outstanding value for money; anything less is an absolute steal. UPDATE As of July 9th 2021, a year and four months after the original purchase, I finally emptied the bag with only an egg cup of rice left. But my dear reader, do not mourn for me, for I have bought a second one. How much, you may ask? £ 17.19! UPDATE 2 7th December 2023 update (because why not): I have bought this rice four times, with the prices being as follows: £25.50 - 13th March 2020 £17.19 - 12th May 2021 £21.79 - 16th December 2022 £26.99 - 3rd May 2023 So there are swings in price, so if you time it right, you can get an even better deal, but even if it is on the more expensive end, I have never felt cheated. Also, for context, the December purchase was a Christmas present to my brother (because I thought it would be funny). The other three are for my consumption. So, my first bag lasted one year and two months. My second bag lasted nearly two years (shy by nine days). In short, I have bought this rice four times. I have found each bag to be of equal quality, and each has served me as well as any of the others. If that is not a recommendation, then I do not know what is. Review: “A Great Alternative to Regular Rice" - This rice is a flavorful and tasty alternative to regular rice. It cooks easily, with each grain coming out fluffy and perfectly separated. The slightly nutty aroma adds depth to any dish, making it a great option for those wanting to elevate their meals. While it may cost a bit more, the superior taste and quality make it worth the price. Highly recommended!

“A Great Alternative to Regular Rice"

great product but do not expect to be able to use it on the same way as long grain.
The rice is in tiny pieces. It tastes lovely but I've found that it works best if you treat it as if you were cooking cous- cous. I put the required amount in a pan of boiling water and simmer for a few minutes and them take the pan off the heat but leave the rice in the cooking water until tender and then drain and rinse, or cook it in stock for a variation in flavour. We use it as a variation to rice and also buy the long grain to have with our usual rice recipes. For the price it is an excellent addition to day to day meals and for gluten and wheat free diets it swaps for cous-cous perfectly.

BROKEN RICE---EXTREMELY NICE...
My first time using this rice and i'm more than pleasantly surprised. It rinses quicker, cooks quicker and tastes wonderful. It has the consistency of cous cous when cooked but without the aroma of cc, which i'm not a fan of. Less water is needed in cooking and 15 mins is sufficient. It forks up nice and fluffy and takes on the flavour of whatever you choose to accompany it with. Anyway, my chops with May-Ploy yellow curry paste are smelling like they're cooked, so i'll wish you all bon appetite and stay safe...PJ.

Good quality rice
This did the trick. I dropped my entire computer in the pool and thought, if it works for a phone why not try it with a computer... just pull the string to open the top and dunk it in... It's broken rice so I was a little co fused at first but I actually prefer the broken rice now that iv tried it. The grains are just broken and smaller. Tastes like rice, easy to cook..

Seemed to be a good product very cheap and tasty
Unfortunately this item was reimbursed due to an unforseen issue. I might order it again in the future.
