These work great around large pieces of luggage. Traveled to Europe and these secure locks fit around my bad and I never worried about bag coming open even after I saw how it was handled by airline personnel. The lime green belt on my luggase stood out in the carousel line. I ordered these before a 8 day trip for my larger piece of luggage. I've read horror stories about hard-sided suitcases busting up by the airline handlers. Thse straps connected snugly and I was assured they would hold my luggage together in case of a mishap. Great price. They did get a little dirty after the first use, but did not jeopardize the functionality. I used a rag with a little soap and cleaned the strap once I got home.

Am I missing something here? I can adjust the strap to fit around my suitcase. Clasp opens and closes fine. Lock works. But it's super easy to adjust the strap even while on the suitcase; anyone can adjust the strap to make it huge, negating the lock. Once you make the strap huge, you can just open the suitcase and reach right in.
