Excellent quality
Super helpful tool for when out hiking or mtb. Not had to use it much but it's small and ready to go when we do need it, the knife is incredibly sharp and the tweezers work well 👌 I'm glad I paid for this brand as I think it's a worthwhile investment.

Your travelling companion!
I couldn't resist buying this knife for the price I found on Amazon (£22) in comparison with other swiss army knives. Victorinox are brilliant quality. This Ranger has all the tools I wanted and then some! I really like that it has a full compliment of tools on the back side of the handle. The small chisel especially was a tool I didn't imagine using, but actually found incredibly useful on a recent project. The hook is another tool that people often dismiss, but is actually very adaptable-for example in opens further than the other back tools, allowing the knife to become a stand for a phone or tablet or photo of your loved one, if you need your hands free... All the tools are superb quality and not gimmicks at all. The large file is awesome on wood and softer metals, though I would only use it as a metal saw in an emergency, I think it would struggle with harder metals. The wood saw is fantastic, probably the best small saw on any multi tool. The blades come very sharp, I favor the small blade for most craft tasks such as whittling, but the large blade is a nice size and shape for food prep or larger cutting tasks. The only part I'm not sure if I like is the key ring. It gets in the way a bit, especially when closing the reamer/punch. I have a Hiker that I removed the key ring from, and ground off the loop from the back spring. I use the Hiker specifically for whittling and the ring obstructed my thumb position over the small blade. I may do this to the Ranger, but because it is wider than the Hiker my thumb has room. So I'm going to live with the key ring for a while and decide later,as the Ranger will be used more for carrying on trips etc., and it is nice to have a lanyard for securing the knife to yourself so that you don't lose it. I have also added the small screwdriver which hides within the corkscrew, and a pin which hides in a hole in the plastic scales next to the corkscrew. Wish these accessories came as standard but hey ho. All in all a great many useful tools, without being really wide like a Swiss champ. Perhaps a tad hefty for some pockets, but I plan to buy or make a belt pouch for it at some point. You'll feel prepared for anything with this beast at your side!

Top quality
Top quality as you'd expect from Vitorinox. This one being smaller width than the Swiss Champ is more practical to carry on hikes or camping trips. It still has a lot of useful tools and for me the scissors are the best.

Glad mine didn’t have camping stakes on it.
If it’s a portable, UK-legal knife you’re after and you’ve got any interest in the outdoors, this is a solid choice. The manufacturer describes it as a “Jack of all trades, master of none” — and honestly, that’s pretty accurate. Personally, I always notice it when it’s in my pocket, which is why I chose to wear it in a sheath instead — no issues at all.

Best Victorinox toolset for the size
This is the best Vitorinox for my need. I have it for a couple of years and I use it everyday, so useful, both inside the house and outside. I wear it on my belt using a Victorinox pouch which I also highly recommend. With a pouch, you remember you got it when you need it, as it doesn’t weight down your pocket. It is missing the plier but adding the plier would make it a lot bulkier and heavier. This ranger optimises the space as there are tools filling up all the back side. I got several other Victorinox, smaller and larger but for me this is the best toolset versus size. It saves so much time as I don’t have to rush to my toolbox so often especially when up a ladder or when holding something, i can just grab it with my other hand and get the job done immediately. There are cheaper immitation but the tools are useless on them, get a Victorinox you won’t regret it.

Arrived very quickly and looks fantastic, comes with 2 very sharp blades out of the box. I wanted the scissors, saw and metal file, this has them plus the usual. This is a 5 layer knife, with 5 layers on the back too. Many knives miss some out. So you get a chisel and mini flat head. Now, it does have the word 'camping' down one side, but Hey, it's a tool, it's for using not looking at. Only had it about a month but I love it. Haven't tested everything yet but the saw works fine, the scissors are very good (as usual) and the two blades are perfect. It is a little heavy for a pocket, but no more so than a similar Leatherman. I will add that when I got it it was £25 or so. At that price it was a bargin. Everyone should have a good Victorinox Swiss Army Knife. A solid 5 stars.

Mi padre siempre ha tenido navajas de esta marca. Son de muy buena calidad, con bastantes funciones y este modelo en especial trae el logotipo de camping que la hace especial.

I cannot imagine living without it on the daily. Legendary quality, perfectly capable for all little DIY stuff. Impressed with the metal saw - had to cut some stuck screws - worked well! Wish the scissors were toothed, like on Wengers, without need to be sharpened, but they hold out great. Do not forget the pin hole next to the corkscrew - nice to have for cleaning hard-to-access spaces, or push out a sim tray.

As expected this is perfect! Victorinox knives are the best. I had a couple different Victorinox pocket knives in my life and I’d always buy this pocket knife over and over again.

I'm a collector of Victorinox Swiss Army Knives but I try not to get ones that have tools that are redundant with the other ones that I have. The Ranger has is great knife and multi tool. Not too small, not too big. Has everything I need for hike or just EDC around the house or cottage.
