This item works well and has full spectrum lighting as well as sunrise and sunset modes. The suction cups work well. The instructions are a little hard to understand but trial and error always works eventually. Good quality and a good price

Actually purchased 2 of these lights. A 12” for a 35 gallon tank, and a 23.4” for a 55 gallon tank and I am pleased with the lighting for each of those tanks. I ended up zip tying them to the under sides of the existing lights which I have turned off. I must say that once we figured out the correct way to set the 24/7 lighting feature, we love how that so perfectly works!! (At 6:00 a.m. we turned each unit on and then pushed the 24/7 button once that lit up the 8:00 (military time) light. Nothing else was needed and the lights started the next morning at 6:00 a.m. and went through the different modes all day long until they shut off on their own around 10:00 p.m. So cool how that works! So far we feel these lights are a great value for what you’re getting. They’re easy, convenient, and interesting to watch the light changes through the day! I’ve attached photos showing one tank at these times: 6:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 5:30 p.m., 9:15 p.m.

I got this light for my tank, after a couple months one of the strips went out. I contacted them and they sent a replacement light right away. Very polite and responded timely. Luna is who helped me. She was great !

Useful & Easy Features: I have 2 Hygger lights with identical features on separate tanks (one running over 9 months now) and all seems excellent so far. All the lights are still working and the colors / brightness controls are varied and useful. The white/red/blue full spectrum setting seems to help my plants grow while the various other colors are fun once in a while. The timer function is much used and easy as well. Other features are helpful too like auto dimming up and down at start and end of timer settings (which is nice for fish quality of life since the light doesn't abruptly turn on and off). Highly Recommended: All around this light seems solid and useful for a large number of users with many types of needs and comes highly recommended. Affordability is hard to ignore too. 24/7 Natural Mode Very Bright/Long Lasting: If I were to change one small bit it would be the ability to limit the brightness in the 24/7 Natural mode plus how long it stays on in a day. This mode is attractive because it simulates dawn, midday, sunset, and nighttime lighting. It looks great too and shows fish in a variety of nice looking natural hues. Problem is this mode forces the light to blaze at full brightness for many hours and the whole routine lasts for, I think, 18 hours total. Some plants and fish can't handle that much light. Also, a lot of light over many hours promotes more algae growth in all tanks planted or otherwise (when having the ability to reduce brightness / amount of time on is a good way to inhibit growth). Note that it does support control for brightness and a few settings for the number of hours on with the conventional timer mode, but that only gives you one color of light (and not the elegant shifting of natural colors).

Works as it should

I was worried about some of the reviews saying water would get in it. Going on a year and it is still going strong. Love the automatic light settings. Been a game Changer for my tank!

The lights are bright and programming the timer is easy. Unfortunately, the unit arrived cracked, so I cannot put it in my fish tank, as it is no longer water resistant/waterproof. I will try to replace it. The second unit arrived and has stopped working after less than a month. Am trying to reach out to the company, but so far neither phone number provided works. I have had no return contact from the company. Phone numbers to the company have error messages that they are out of service and no one responds to WhatsApp messages or the online form. I would not recommend this product.

This item worked almost perfectly at first. Only two issues were the suction cups suck...big time. I'd often find half of the light in the tank hanging on by the other suction cup. Eventually, with trial and error, I was able to overcome that. The other "flaw" is that the timer settings don't really make sense. You literally only get 4 hours of full brightness each day. The rest are various stages of gradual dimming. About 4 months in, 1/3 of the lights stopped working. 8 months in, all of the lights have stopped working. I've reached out to Hygger for warranty information. I will update if/when they respond and what their proposed resolution is.
