works. 4k. 4 up. rotate audio.
update 7.28.2023I still like using this device but have noticed that some of the HDMI inputs lose audio and the only recourse to get it back is to unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in. I do not know if this is an issue with this unit or my streaming devices.orig review:I have a 4k tv.using qnty 4, onn 4k $20 streaming boxes.all four streams display fluidly.text, scroll banners readable in 4 up mode.I can switch audio between each of the 4 up displays.easy one button switch from 4 up to 1 up mode.one button rotate of 1 up between the 4 streems.side note, my router says that with all four streams active, it's about 12 megabits per second download rate.I've seen no indication my 4K display downgrades using this switcher. same for the on-screen display of frequency remains 4K as well as all image detail seems to suggest the same.

does the job But
This is plug and play. very easy to switch inlets. The remote reaches 30 ft or more and from different anglesthe reason 3 stars . The pictures are clear 50 % of the time. When there is a darker picture from the video. This turns it even darker, every thing just blends, dark into dark and you can't see whats happening. This is my 2nd one. I'll keep it on the kids tv. Cartoons are not as bad as a movie.

Don't buy if you plan to read text
I bought this because I have a 65" 4K TV as a monitor and wanted to display my work Mac and my personal mac on the same screen. The font on this, just like the 1080p I had is terrible. I tested it on a brand new Samsung 42" wide screen monitor and it was worse. I'm using the right cables. It could be because of my Mac's retina display. I don't know, but I don't recommend this to anyone. When I take a screenshot to put here. The picture looks fine. It's the output, I can't read text at all. Movies are okay; but everything is stretched and squeezed. That's not a good viewing experience.

Works decently for large, wide screens.
First thing I will say is this allows you to plug in four devices and output onto one HDMI television at once. I found this works best for my 34 inch wide screen monitor of all things. It does well and keeps the video quality nice. If you use the right screen, there is a little loss in video quality depending on the tv as you are shrinking some of the images. Other than that, this HDMI multi viewer is relatively a good device to have IF you want to have this kind of option. I actually use this to plug in my different consoles while also having the ability to see through my security cameras. It is also a great way to plug in my ps4, xbox 360, xbox one, ps5 all at once and I am able to use them all at once into my television. You can just press and be at the right channel but do note it will only extract audio from one of the ports and not all. It is relatively easy to get used to but it does take some fiddling around with before you get used to what controls what. The remote does make it easier to operate the HDMI device. The remote is very small and basic. The remote also has to be in line of sight in order to work with the HDMI switch. It has the seven additional HDMI ports and they are numbered so you can know which one you are plugging into. Note that the MAIN HDMI ports is in the middle of switch as to not confuse the other ports. For the remote, you can select the channel you want or you can just have all the screens running. You get the option of both. There is a button on the device itself if you are close by so you can just adjust the HDMI port number on the device if needed. It requires a power plugs to power. Again the picture quality does change a bit if you happen a certain screen but it is not too noticeable. I also do not see any sound quality loss. I am able to plug additional game consoles to my television which is awesome. I have multiple gaming consoles I wanted to plug into my portable without needing to switch it out all the time. It also does not come with an HDMI cable so you will need an additional HDMI cable from your TV to the switch. It can provide you up to four additional ports. The one down side of having ports on the end is that it is a bit harder to keep the cable management clean. I would recommend if possible to just tape the switch down to the surface to keep it from moving. The device is made of metal so it is sturdy. Overall this product works really well for me and works very well for 4K TVs. I am able to plug in and view more devices at once on my tv (ps4, computer, and chromecast). The device does not get super hot or anything when in use. It is pretty well built and made of aluminum I will say. The only thing is that it does downgrade the picture slightly but it works as expected.

Really interesting HDMI switch for really specific needs
This HDMI switch has built in picture in picture but is probably best used with a square monitor. My ultra wide stretched the images out to much that I could barely read the text. Seems like it would be best used with security cameras or something similar but I can't really recommend for media use

Darker image but works great for bright scenes
I got this for my projector so I could hook up several inputs from mainly games when we have a get together. My projector would only do 1080 so I could not test the 4k but I know it was sending a signal because my projector showed video signal not supported. The remote is easy to use and straight forward. You can cycle through the displayed images and styles but just hitting one button for the most part. Another button selects the audio that you wish to play through your device so you can only have one. As a side note I ran the hdmi out from the splitter through an AV receiver and then into my projector or I would have had no sound.About the only thing I can saw negative about this is that it was really dark in some dark parts of a movie I watched with just one screen selected. So dark it was hard to see and when I plugged it straight into my AV receiver it was at least twice as bright. Bright scenes I could not tell much of a difference. Also, there is no setting to mess with in this device as I tried to make it brighter to no avail. However, if you are looking to display multiple screens onto one screen this will do it and makes it easy as well. The box is very small and compact which is really nice. Other than the darkness in dark movies I have had no issues with this.
