Pros:1). Product as described.2). Easy to setup with the eWlink Android app and pairing with Google Home Mini.3). A very inexpensive option for DIY home automation; works well with Echo, Echo Dot, Google Home and Google Mini Home.Cons:1). Works only on 2.4 Ghz Wi-fi frequency channels and not on 5Ghz. (Maybe a firmware upgrade will fix it).2). Firmware upgrade of the product is possible only if you connect both your smartphone and Sonoff Switch to a mobile hotspot and not if the devices are connected directly to a home wi-fi network!!3). The menu layout of the eWlink Android app is not very intuitive or user friendly. Takes some time to find the hidden options, buried deep inside some menu!

App does not send verification code so device cannot be registered. Waste of money.Asked a question to the seller and he asked to download WeChat and add him there. I do not want to download another chat app to see if they can resolve issue. Irritating.Edit Later: So I got the response from eWeLink app support and got my verification code. I have setup my corporation water motor with this and works as per schedule. Yet to test the long term reliability. Upgrading review to 4-star

Installation :- If you are going to Use it For your existing Appliances for Instance consider Tubelight..- Cut the Wire at the middle, which powers the Tubelight- Connect The Live and Neutral wire Which comes from Switch board as Input...- Similarly Connect the Live and Neutral wire which Goes to the Tubelight as Output...- Screw it up..- then just follow the manual... As simple as it is..Pros :- A great product for Home automation startups..- Best in class.... Works great for a price of 500rs..- As a Inbuilt manual switch incase of wifi issues to Force start or stop the Control.- works best with both Echo and Google Home Devices..- you can also set the Power On State by which if anyone happened to Turn off and on the switch The Desired state Can be set up...Cons :- Found a very small delay probably a Second of delay though using 100mbps connection but nothing to be noticed.- The plastic body is Deligate Handle it with Care...Avoiding these 2 minor cons a Great thing for starters..

I have brought this device in the month of Feb 2018. It seemed to work fine for a month but afterwards it started giving all sorts of issues. All the existing owners of sonoff switches already know for a time period of may 2018 to sep 2018 these device servers had stopped working completely. They upgraded there app and everything started working. Once again for around a week it started doing all kind of drama. I am not just judging one device here. After purchasing the single device in the month of Feb I was happy about it and ordered 4 dual switches from Sonoff website as it was available for 1000 and Amazon has it for 1500. Now I am completely stuck with these devices and they do not listen to me at all. From the app there will be a message network unavailable but if you restart the device 30% of the time it gets resolved but 30% is not what I have ordered these products for. A good thing about Alexa is when the sonoff app fails alexa comes to the rescue and to my surprise it listens to Alexa that too 50% of the time it doesnt. I have checked there website to overcome the network unavailable issue and they state that we have to "PARSE" some domains and it can be done by the network provider ACT bangalore and Airtel has no idea about it (You know our tech in ISP's). Now whenever I say to turn off or turn on the device it just says check power and network. So I am stuck with one single switch and 4 dual switches which is of no use. Another thing that I would like to add is if you are planning to buy dual switch just dont do it because the circuit of dual is such that there is a live and neutral IN and 2 live and 2 neutral out, hence the input is from one power switch. So if you turn on the power the signal would be available for both the devices and the automation of turning on or off does not work so either both of your devices are on or off if you choose to use the manual switch. I am not promoting any other brands as well because I haven't used any because they are expensive.Amazon have a rating of zero, its been long and many of your customers are asking for a zero rating.

Pros1. It works actually on wifiCons2. It has slow response - tested on Airtel 100 Mbps wifi connectivity with iPhone. In technical term there is a lag because the data goes to the app server first and from that app server to the app connected to your devise and from that device the signal to switch on/off goes. While when connected on the same wifi network it should have worked directly without using internet just like Bluetooth but on a wifi bandwidth.Not for people who are fascinated to buy it. However I would recommend to but it if you need a devise that needs to be operated on wifi.3. It cannot be paired with more than one devise simultaneously. It should have been allowed to pair multiple devices with authentication facility from the primary devise.
