There are 2 parts to this. The base easily and quickly fits in the stock cup holder in any car I've ever seen. Then the top easily and securely fits into the socket in the base. The top then adjust to easily and securely holds even very large mugs like my 32 oz, 5" diameter, sleeved HydroFlask mug. Adjusting the top or bottom is simple. You just turn a ring at the bottom of either. In a few seconds you have the perfect fit. Even so, I bought a second one. One will be for my HydroFlask and the other for my coffer and other smaller sized drinks. How lazy can a guy be? Oh, I got one for my wife too. It's truly a brilliant product at a totally reasonable price!.

These cup holders are very handing you can open them wide for a big bottle or you can close them down small enough for a can drink or a normal water bottle. They’re surprisingly very sturdy! I’ve got a 40oz bottle I’ll fill it up and it holds it secure and never had an issue of it falling out or turning it over or damaging the product. It’s super easy to put in your cup holder and works great. I bought one for my work truck and a day or two after having it my work partner ordered one also. Super easy to take it out if you want to for some reason if you ever decide to move it from vehicle to vehicle. Definitely worth the money!

I installed this is my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, as my 40 oz buckhead mug would just not fit in the smaller cup holders. The base of the unit fits perfectly and can be turned to be extremely tight within my cars factory cupholders. The upper half the the cup holder spins very freely and with ease, making adjustments very easy to do. It holds my 40 oz buckhead mug very firmly and in place, without feeling like it may fall apart while driving. The one downside that I could see is if in a hard braking situation the whole upper half of the sleeve that hold the cup in place, possibly separating from the base. As expandable part that holds your drink only sits on top of the base. Secondly The neck on top of the base which the expandable top sits into, possibly could snap under any major pressure from an arm coming off an arm rest and side swiping it to hard, as It does elevate the cup/mug much higher. It does have three small pieces to expand the base if needed. The upper half of the cup holder. Does expand quite a bit, much larger than any cup I may need to place in there. Maybe a small bowl of cereal if that is your thing lol I only gave it 4 stars because I could see the neck of the unit breaking possibly if you bumped into it too hard. Along with the possibility that the top could be separated from the bottom potentially In a hard braking scenario. All in all for the cost only being under 20.00 USD I was willing to give it a try and it seems to maybe have cured my larger Cup/Mug issue in my much smaller factory Jeep cupholders.
