I do love to mess around with video and have tried a couple of similar devices, but this is the first that actually looks, feels and works like a pen and records in very high quality video. Arriving in a decent presentation box (it would make a nice gift) the pen is in two parts, the lower section containing an ink nib (five spares are included) and the upper the camera. The usb plug sticks out from this top section, and a MicroSD memory card slots in to the side of the plug. I initially tried this with my 65Gb Toshiba card with no joy, but a Sandisk 32Gb worked fine. Putting in a card that won't work, or is miss-formatted and the LED flashes ten times to warn you, a nice feature. Inside is a slider that switches from Video to stills/audio, I left this on the video setting. It records in 1080P and I have to say that for a tiny lens the quality is outstanding. To operate you have to press and hold the top button for a few seconds, recording starts and continues until you press it again. In a test recording a 10 second clip was 42Mb, so my 32Gb card will take around two hours of video before filling. Quoted battery life is up to an hour. The lens is situated just above the pocket clip so this probably works best when used with a suit, with the pen in the outside pocket. For covert video recording, this is ideal, and would make a great gift for kids too. I'd be a little wary when using the bathroom though, if the dressing gown on the back of the door happened to have a pen in its pocket... Great quality at a good price. Didn't work when I first put a memory card in it. Thought it might just need formatting but still didn't work in the end I couldn't be arsed with the hassle of sending it back so I took it apart and repaired it. The picture and sound quality is pretty good really for the money. Battery life is a bit pants. It has niggles but once you've worked out how to get round them it's an ok product I suppose. Maybe mine was a one off but I hate it when stuff doesn't work as it should. It's Chinese so I don't think the quality control is up to british standards and the instructions are just an amusement if anything.

An update - I originally gave this product 1 star (see below) but am now changing to 4. I did send the original back and ordered another one from the same vendor. I received the product today and discovered why I could not get the first one to work - my micro SD card was NTFS formatted instead of FAT 32. Frankly, this should be made very clear in the documentation but is not mentioned anywhere. I had to watch several YouTube videos to discover that I needed the FAT 32 format in order to initialize the drive. That said, the videos are excellent for such a small device. I'm pretty amazed, at this point, even though I have not put the product "through its paces." It certainly has great potential. With much better documentation it might deserve 5 stars. I recently purchased this product and am sending it back as it does not work as advertised. The documentation is quite poorly written and designed but can be figured out with some patience. I charged the device, inserted a 16gb micro SD card and pushed down the button on the top of the device. In order to get any light (according to the instructions there is a yellow and blue light) to come on I must push down the button for at least 3 seconds. At this point a blue light comes on and flashes exactly 10 times. There is no evidence that anything works after this point. I have tried every "permutation and combination" in terms of pressing this top button (and the small switch inside selecting between camera and video) to no avail. I have tried inserting the SD card 3 different times. The reason I selected the vendor for this product is because of the 4 1/2 stars. Regrettably, I can't add to that.

It works well when you can operate the buttons correctly. I have found the operation of buttons confusing as you are never sure whether it is recording video or audio.

Although it is a little weighty ( no more than an expensive decorative pen ) , it is pretty easy to use. The pen function writes really well and it is very handy that it comes with refills. It records well, the sound is clear and crisp and the photos are as if I'd taken the snap with an IPhone. Very happy with this pen so far .

J'adore ce stylo ! Honnêtement, j'en ais toujours voulu un, le seul frain que j'avais, c'est que je recevais des mails "promotionnel" de MicroApp mais qui me le proposer à 80€ au lieu de 120. Donc autant vous dire que quand j'ai vu celui-ci, j'ai sauté dessus en me demandant s'il allait marcher longtemps. Il est très pratique (marche encore parfaitement au bout d'un mois), la caméra est presque invisible. Sinon, j'aime beaucoup le fait que l'on pisse mettre une carte micro SD au lieu du stockage interne qui l'on trouve sur beaucoup de modèle concurrent pour deux raisons : une mémoire vive tombe en panne au bout d'un nombre x d'utilisations et puis on peut mettre une gosses capacité de stockage. De plus, on peut filmer jusqu'à 1080p. Autres chose, 5 mines de recharges pour ce stylo sont fournies.

Inizialmente ero veramente indecisa se acquistare la spy pen in questione, in primis per la resa del video e poi anche per la credibilità che potesse riscontrare durante l'uso come semplice penna agli occhi degli altri. Così ho deciso, visto comunque il buon prezzo rispetto alla media, di procedere con l'acquisto. Al suo arrivo ho riscontrato subito che la penna era normalissima, quindi praticamente non individuabile ad un occhio non preparato. La confezione è fornitissima di tutti gli accessori necessari e le istruzioni piuttosto chiare, è il prodotto in se ad essere validissimo. La validità della penna è riconoscibile prima di tutto dai materiali di qualità che la compongono, ha un buon peso e sembra veramente una penna da taschino qualsiasi. Le prestazioni sono fedeli alla descrizione, i video hanno quasi una definizione migliore delle foto. Davvero un prodotto di qualità ad un ottimo prezzo

Wir haben uns den Kugelschreiber ehrlich gesagt gekauft, um im Ausland Videoaufnahmen in Kirchen zu tätigen, in denen es eigentlich untersagt ist. ;-) Er wurde sehr schnell in einer hübschen Kartonage mit Schaumstoff zum perfekten Lagern geliefert. Wenn man den Stift betrachtet, fällt es nicht auf, das es sich hierbei um einen Spionage-Kugelschreiber handelt. Ungefähr in der Mitte des Stiftes befindet sich die unauffällige Kamera. Durch einen Knopfdruck startet die Aufnahme. Es gibt verschiedene Modi, wie Video, Audio und Fotoaufnahmen. Es können Aufnahmen bis zu einer Stunde gemacht werden. Wenn der Akku entladen ist, so kann man ihn per USB schnell wieder aufladen. Des Weiteren kann eine Micro SD Karte in den Stift eingeführt werden. Wenn man das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, Qualität und Spaß zusammen betrachtet, kann man gut und gerne 5 Sterne für die Spionagekamera vergeben.

Llevaba tiempo buscando una cámara espía y me decanté por este producto. Ha sido un acierto total. Se trata de un simple pluma de aspecto elegante que albegrga una cámara en su interior. Es increíblemente fácil de usar: no hay que descargar aplicaciones, ni instalar programas en otro dipositivo, simplemente conectamos y grava. Tiene batería propia y se puede cargar por su puestro USB directamente al ordenador (lo cual es una gozada), aunque también incluye su propio cable. Soporta tarjetas SD de hasta 32 GB de capacidad lo que permite grabar tomas de larga duración. El objetivo consigue tomas muy nítidas (es HD con 8 mgapíxeles). Recomendado toalmente

la imagen es pésima, no llega a 1080p de resolución, no se distinguen el texto de una hoja, se entre cortan el vídeo. decepcionante
