Great little product
So a few summers back I decided to bakeA cake for my new girlfriend’s nanIt was her birthday and she had a few friends going roundSo I had to come up with a plan. She had a small dog and she liked cups of teaAnd chilling with her pals playing WhistSo I looked round online and decided to getA few little tools to assist. That’s when this great set of “Playing Card CuttersFor Sugar Craft” first caught my eye.At that point I wasn’t quite sure how I’d use themBut I still clicked the button marked “buy”.The kit comes with cutters in the shape of the suits,The diamonds, clubs, spades and hearts. It also contains punches and moulds for face cards(You paint with food dye to colour those parts)You press them all out of their plastic supportsAnd there are three different sizes to chooseBut I found that because of my oversized fingersSome were quite fiddly to use.In the end though I wasn’t really all that adventurousAnd used only a few of the “blades”Opting to make just a couple of cardsA five of diamonds and a naff eight of spades. The set is quite basic but that’s not an issueAs for the job they’re designed they’re sufficient,It was just that I didn’t really know what to doAnd my skills with a brush are deficient. Her gran loved the cake and my girlfriend did tooAnd it earned me some added affectionThe relationship grew and we got married last week…… So it worked pretty well on reflection.

effective as imprinters rather than cutting shapes.
The larger cutters were fine except the tail of the spade and club always got stuck in the mould so had to be added. I couldn't use The middle size ones - no way to get the icing to leave the mould but were very useful to make imprints - that gave a good effect. . Tiny ones were - tiny! Couldn't use those. I failed use the cards as I just couldn't get them painted but this could be my inexperience- this is only the third cake I've ever done so someone else would probably succeed and know how. Overall I was pleased but didn't use the card shapes.

Great product
This product is excellent. Provided common sense is used this product works perfectly. A steady hand is required for the painting to give the best effect. The feedback I received for my cake was .....brilliant ,fantastic ,amazing ,the cards look so real. Doesn't get better than that.

Not bad cutters
These cutters work quite well however the smaller cutters can only be used as impression stamps as they are so small.

Small items waste of time
Small items waste of time , the club one does not even come out of the mould. It became expensive then for the others. Too fiddly, better off just buying individual shape cutters.
