Bestop Tailgate Bar - Jeep '07-18 Wrangler JK

Works perfectly with my purchase of Pavement Ends #41829-35 Cargo Cover. I have a 2016 JKU hardtop and use the Best Top Header Safari Bikini when I take the top off, but I didn't like the cargo area open, so I purchased the cargo cover on Amazon which you need this tailgate bar for it. Easy to install, a little confusing instructions but after reading other reviews, it was a cinch! Works great!

This tailgate bar was just as it was described on the Amazon page. Simple to install and works great. Keeps water out of back even going through the power car wash. I would recommend this to anybody with a Jeep and soft top.

So I already own the Bestop TrekTop NX which has the same (but not same) tailgate bar that fits the back window, thinking that bar can be used for the Cargo Cover, offered by ‘Pavement Ends by Bestop’. Unfortunately the bar included with the soft top has a slightly smaller channel, so the cargo cover does not slide onto the bar without some strength & a whole lot of patience. I ordered this bar since it was attached as a 'frequently purchased together' item when ordering the Cargo Cover. Waaaaay better fit and zero aggravation. And I have a backup bar if needed.

The description says it won't work for a 2014 however in looking at the Bestop site it showed it would so I took a chance and it turned out great. I have a hard top Jeep and needed this for the tonneau. It was a bit difficult to figure out how to safely get the clips on and off my Jeep without hurting the paint. After I got this figured out, it slid right on my tonneau and is working great.

This took a bit longer to install than the top and really its easier! At first we thought we had the wrong product because the directions weren't really clear that came with the product and the dust cover Bestop 90031-35 Black Diamond Duster Deck Cover for 07-12 Wrangler. A word of advice... I went to Quadratec website and used their installation directions and it was so simple!

These guys anticipated the aging your soft top might have and they went extra on the durability of the seals at the top. My tailgate close now like my Jeep was made in Germany.
