I live in an area that has super hard water. These have saved my kettle. I still have to descale my kettle - hence the 4 stars - but not as much as I used to.

An old solution to the perennial problem of hard water. This is a good solution to not using chemicals to clean your kettle. I fully expect them to do the job like their predecessors which got to the point that I couldn’t clean them any more. The last ones lasted about 15 years.

Gathers the scale but also some still forming on bottom of kettle.
