This was a great sensory toy for my autistic son, I think this would be great for any child. We bought some translucent flat rocks to go with this. We haven't tried out the sand yet just because my son is so little and will probably flick everywhere. I have already recommended this to my sister for her son. The lights changes 3 different colors

Good enough. A nice alternative to the expensive light tables. Very light weight plastic and cheap feeling but lights up nicely and does the job!

My granddaughter loves this. The only thing I would do different is include a little squirt bottle for younger kids to have more control sand painting. We added a small one and she loves it. She likes to put her coloring pages on top of it and paint the lines. It’s a fun product.

Kiddos absolutely loved this as a Christmas present.

We visit early childhood classrooms and needed an alternative to the heavier permanent light tables. These are great for using light table blocks and letters, and are lite weight enough to carry in a small bag. My problem is that the plug is an older USB - the images do not show it and it also doesn't list the wattage, so some people may be plugging it into a phone charger that's not strong enough to make the lights bright. SO now I need to order three usb chargers as well - that doesn't maintain the affordability. I should have read more carefully, but it definitely doesn't highlight the weird plug in the images or description. *Not using it for sand.
