A friend gave us the tip that oven temperature indicators are often out so when baking you can get varied results, so we bought one of these. It's great, much better to see when the oven is too temperature, fits well on the shelves, seems pretty durable, and I would say has improved our baking success rate.

Well it seems to work ok in that it tallied with the oven. But as mentioned by others, beware the edges. I sandpapered them, they were sharp

......the brand name that I replaced with is. Temperature readout is more consistent with my infrared thermometer and that's reflected by the results in my oven. Reliable and reasonably priced.

Why did you choose this product over others?:We chose this particular oven thermometer as it was neat to store away and got good reviews. It works well for testing the oven temperature.

The stand is made of very thin sheet metal and it arrived bent but this didn't stop it from working. You have to trust that its readings are accurate and it indicated a much higher temperature than the control on my oven. However, in fairness I was using just a conventional oven so there was most likely a variation within it.I don't intend to use this on a regular basis but just needed something to give me some idea of what my oven was really set at.

Purchased this to check our dual oven temperatures and found that the main oven was 30 degrees above the temperature show on the oven thermostat/control, hence some dishes being overcooked therefore we have reduced the cooking temperatures and all is much, much better. A recommended purchase.

This works well and the temperature agrees with my oven. My only concern is the hook which you hook on the shelf is very thin. I try not to bend it too much as I feel it would break very easily.
