Berberine

Definitely notice benefits of this product. Had unexplained swelling in feet. Did some research and gave Berberine a try. Swelling went away. Made a mistake and didn't order in time so there was a lapse in taking. Swelling came back. Getting back into my system again and swelling is subsiding. Results speak volumes. My husband has even begun to take Berberine as well.

I am definitely not one to write reviews, but this stuff is amazing. I wanted to lose 10 pounds for my wedding and I started taking this berberine product two months before the wedding and lost 15 pounds very easily. It controlled my appetite and my cravings kept me regular And best of all I have been dealing with bloating and food sensitivities for 15 years and this has made me feel better than I felt in forever. I was taking three or four gas medication‘s a day just for bloating and now I can’t remember the last time I’ve taken one. This also doesn’t have additives or preservatives in it, which I also love. One of the cleanest formulas of berberine I found on Amazon …highly recommend. I hope they never stop selling this formula.

After taking 1 capsule per day, for 6 months. The Cholesterol lab report is as follows Total -4%, HDL +5%, Triglycerides -21%, LDL -2%, LDL Particle Number -20%. These were all improvements over the previous lab numbers. The side effects noticed were a bit more intestinal gas, and significantly more awareness of dreams. Bottom line is I will continue this for another 6 months and see what the next lab shows. Also during the 6 months I had a weight loss of about 2.5%, with no change to my diet. Note that this was with 1 capsule per day, not the recommended 2 per day. Update 1 year lab results. One year ago my total cholesterol was 239, and now 220. Total -7.9%, HDL -15%, Triglycerides +3.2%, LDL -7.7%, LDL Particle Number +1.9%. So some modest improvement in Total Cholesterol, and LDL Cholesterol statistics. Not mentioned before Apolipoprotein B -10.5% after 1 year. Again this was with only 1 capsule per day. Think I'll now try the 2 capsules per day recommended and see how that goes.

I am on my third bottle of using this supplement and take one capsule with each meal. I have found it to balance my blood sugar very well, no crash after a meal. I used to crave chocolate after a meal and now I do not have those cravings at all. Berberine has many other health benefits as well but I cannot quantify how effective they are. I do plan to continue using this cost effective supplement for some time to come. I am working on improving my health and this is a piece to that process.

While there are several benefits attributed to Berberine, I take it as a blood sugar level control aid. I normally take it with Cinnamon, which is another powerful blood sugar control herb. Thomas Remedies has put together Berberine with Cinnamon and black pepper to increase absorption. As I also take several other herbs (and measures) to keep by blood sugar in check, there is no way I could objectively say that my good numbers are solely the result of Berberine. Berberine should be taken with caution, I take it (500mg to 1gram a day) up to 8 weeks and then pause for 2 to 4 weeks, to avoid Berberine's side effects, which may include antimicrobial effect in the gut, impact the P450 enzyme in the liver and even sarcopenia. The product says that it is lab tested, but there is no indication if that test was performed by an accredited third-party lab as no lab report is made available on Thomas Remedies' website, which currently seems to be inoperative.
