Great budget upgrade
I have these in my 2018 Lexus GX460 (non mark levinson) with stock amplifier. The install was relatively easy though I did have to dremel the adapters a bit to make them fit the front doors. The tweeters fit the stock location and were epoxied in place. I chose these because of their relatively high efficiency knowing that I was going to use them with the stock amp. Turns out I made a pretty decent choice for my application because they sound pretty good. I am not a super bass head but I do listen to metal, prog, and other music that depends on a tight, quick low end and these do not disappoint. It’s a significant step up in terms of bass quality and clarity, and the tweeters are fairly detailed without being screechy or offensive. Please take this praise with the caveat that they aren’t the highest of high end and undoubtedly spending more and/or an aftermarket amplifier would yield better results but for being a budget upgrade I’m pretty happy.

Great upgrade Toyota Corolla 2015 S!
Nice upgrade for my Toyota Corolla 2015 S, rear speakers may sure buy speakers brackets , wiring adapter harness. Labor was great I did myself. No issues. Good sound quality, materials quality too. Cheap price fit perfect. I’m happy.

First world problem Solver
First world problem; The music in my sprinter campervan doesn't sound very high Fidelity at all. Waaaaah! I built the pictured speaker enclosures to improve the sound in my sprinter. This is an excellent van, but the original sound system is terrible. The stock speakers are 3 1/2” paper cones in the dash. I had previously replaced the stock dash speakers with 4” pioneer co-axles. This alone improved the sound, but left much to be desired. I replaced the stereo with a Pioneer DEH-S7200BHS, which gave a slight improvement, but still lacked. My plan was then to build the pictured boxes, fill them with these Pioneer 6x9s, and build a subwoofer enclosure for a 10 to 12 inch sub. The speaker boxes are made of MDF, with a .42 cubic ft. internal volume. They are sealed, not ported, and all walls are non-parallel to avoid resonance frequencies The bass response is so good with these that the plan for the sub is out. In fact I had to call on the equalizer in the ‘7200 to decrease the bass level because the low end response of these is so good. (-3.@50 hz, [email protected] hz. -1@125 hz.). These speakers are also easily bi-ampable. The wires to the midrange and tweeter are easily accessible to split from the woofer. With the Pioneer 7200 having a built in crossover, this is the next step to bring this sound system perfection. Overall, these speakers sound excellent in the enclosures I built. The sound will vary in any other enclosure, and even more in a rear deck or door setup. I did hook them up “free air” before mounting in the boxes, and was mightily impressed. The lows are obviously strong, having passed the Alan Parsons Project “Sirius/Eye In the Sky” test and the Pink Floyd/ Nick Mason “One Of These Days(Live at Pompeii)/Set The Controls For the Heart Of the Sun(Live at Pompeii)” tests. The tweeters pass the Mannheim Steamroller - Fresh Aire 4 “Crystal” test. The midrange is clear, well reproduced like a pair of Bose 901s. These speakers are overkill for todays pop music, but can accurately reproduce the range and nuances of classic rock and classical music. Now, if I could only find a way to use a turntable in a moving vehicle…

Totaly amazing, unparalleled clarity, absolute power!
I installed these in a 2001 ram 1500 with the 6.5s in the back doors , I had originally hooked them up to a pioneer head unit that was only 15w rms per channel they sounded terrible, but as you know 15w rms isnt enough power to drive these speakers ,so I bought the DS18 sdx p200 head unit wich has 65w rms per channel, I also build foam enclosures for the speakers in the doors and upgraded the wires , and put sound deadening in the doors , And WOW!! These speakers came to life ! No amp needed with this head unit , I didn't even get to max volume on the head unit before these speakers got so loud I could barely stand it , no clipping , just pure , clear powerfull sound .

Good, not great
These speakers went in a 2015 f150, non Sony stereo. The install was easy for two reasons. 1- the tweeters have built in bass blockers, eliminating the use for a large crossover. 2- the woofers came with adapters to for several vehicles, including fords. As another reviewer, Steve, mentioned- the screws included don’t work, I had spare license plate screws that worked like a charm. Quality seems decent. With the brackets, fitment of the woofers was perfect. The included tweeter brackets let me mount the pioneer tweeters in the stock location easily. Better than the regular A series, less than the Premiers I used to run. I haven’t noticed any distortion, but these speakers are very mid heavy, and adjustment of your eq will probably be necessary. The highs are very clear, and in picking up on some sounds I didn’t before (that now annoying bell crash in RA’s Do You Call My Name, for example). So why 4 stars? Because these things, much like the pioneers I installed in my last f150, produce almost no bass below 120hz. I men, it’s NOTICABLE. And while I didn’t expect them to be hitting 30-40hz, losing 80-120 isn’t ideal. The stock speakers did significantly better in this aspect. I’m not sure if I’ll amplify them down the road or just swap them out, it for now they are staying. It’s been several months and they are still doing fine.

Wonderful upgrade replacing the factory speakers!
Installed these in front door of my 2016 Ford F-150 Crew Cab Lariat FX4. They include the plastic housing that screws directly into the same holes as the factory speakers mount too. Great sound! I was very impressed with the clarity and bass these have with a factory stock radio. Now I’m going to look for the 6.5” for the rear doors!

Great value for the price!
Fantastic speakers for the price. I wasn't expecting such good performance since it's a low-mid range model. The included brackets allowed me to install without needing to purchase extra brackets, although they did require a slight modification to fit my 2014 Toyota Highlander (front door speakers). They seem to handle my low-power stock head unit well enough, and improved the audio quality considerably over the stock paper speakers. The only problem is now my OEM speakers sound terrible in comparison, so now I need to replace those next :)

awesome sounding
Removed factory speakers from my 2018 Ram 1500 and replaced with these. I used a 1/4 inch spacer and added some insulation to the door as well for weeding out sound (road noise). I did not use the spacer/bracket and speaker cover that came with these as it wouldnt fit behind panel..so i used the spacers I bought.. my factory speakers were 15 watt each. these are 90 watt. They sound great. Very pleased and it took about 5 minutes to change each speaker once I removed panel.. 4 in total.
