It works very well
I used this to zero in the laser sight on my home defense shotgun. Just adjust your laser sight until two dots merge into one, and bada boom you're done. Well-built should last a lifetime.

Worth the buy
Lite weight. Very easy to use, makes sighting in your 12g very easy and accurate. Fits perfect just like a normal shell. Made of good quality materials. I recommend this.

Got me Zero in No Time
I recently purchased the 12GA Red Dot Laser Bore Sight, and overall, I'm quite satisfied with its performance. This tool has significantly simplified the process of sighting in my shotgun, making it easier to achieve accuracy right from the start. The setup is incredibly straightforward—just insert the cartridge into the chamber, and the red dot laser projects a clear point for alignment. This feature has saved me a lot of time at the range, allowing for quick adjustments without the hassle of constant shooting and resighting. The laser is bright and easily visible, even in daylight, which is a huge plus. However, I did notice that the battery life could be better; it seems to drain a bit faster than I would like, so I recommend keeping spare batteries handy. One minor drawback is that it may not fit perfectly in every 12GA shotgun, so it’s important to check compatibility. Despite this, it has worked well with my models. In conclusion, the 12GA Red Dot Laser Bore Sight is a valuable tool for any shotgun owner looking to improve accuracy. It’s easy to use and effective, earning it a solid four-star rating from me!

Why not do things right???
Half of the reviews say spot on, the rest say otherwise.I took the gamble, and I got an otherwise! How hard would it really be to make sure things worked as promised before shipping out defective garbage???1/2 inch off @4 feet, 4 inches off @30.If all you want to do is get your shot on paper, and refine your optical afterwards, this will probably get you there. If you take the gamble and get an otherwise like I did, here's how you can still use it to get close.Find a piece of 3/4" id tubing maybe 4"long, place the tube horizontally in your vise, insert the laser, and place something a few feet away to point the laser at.Rotate the laser watching it make circles. Stop when you're certain the laser is at the highest top point of its axis. Mark your laser on the bottom indicating this point. Now when you place your shell in the chamber with the mark centered up, you'll at least have your windage correct, and know when you get to the range, you should only have to adjust elevation. You could take this a step further by marking whatever you're using to visualize your aimpoint on with your firearm at maybe 10-20 feet, and using paper etc. mark the top, rotate the laser mark bottom, repeat for both left and right. Take a straight edge and mark a line connecting your vertical and horizontal lines, draw a mark where they cross, then align your optical on that point like you would have if this thing worked as promised. You can't really take this apart easily to see what's wrong because the unit has been potted into case with silicon, but for the H of it, I'm going to put it on my lathe and cut it open with a precision cut and see if the laser can be adjusted somehow.Good luck!
