It's descaler and it works very well. With other brands of washing machine descaler it takes two goes to get the job done. I live in a very high limescale area that clogs heating systems and anything it touches.

I always hate having to run a washing machine on a pretty hot cycle without any clothes inside it. But if you want you machine to run well and without problems then this stuff does seem to do the job. The machine is sparking and smell free afterwards and, depending on how much you use it, it only needs doing a couple of times a year. It is a bit pricey but then if you've ever had a Miele engineer come to your house to repair your machine, then you'll know this is cheap if it keeps him away.
