Ordered Potassium metabisulfite. The package I received contains an unknown substance, as on the package itself it states, βpotassium metabisulfite,β while the outer packaging states, β potassium bicarbonate.β See attached pic for reference. Potassium metabisulfite (πΎ2π2π5) is used as an antioxidant and preservative, while potassium bicarbonate (πΎπ»πΆπ3) is used to correct acidity by increasing pH.
